Welcome to the Japanese niche games deals and discussion thread!  Feel free to talk about local and import Japanese games here.  Our goal is to maintain a thread dedicated to active deals on niche games including RPGs, Visual Novels (VN), Shoot'em ups (Shmups), Musou, etc.  Also maintained are pre-orders for standard, limited and collector's edition games with key release dates provided.

I've wikified the thread to make it more friendly and open to others that can actively update with important information. You can find the wiki post directly below this one.

NOTE:  Please, leave the censorship discussion away from this thread.  It's common for japanese games to have questionable content outside of the country.  We want to keep discussions to the game itself and not about cultural/societal tolerance.

Well, downloaded and beat the NieR Automata demo. It's not out on the NA PSN yet (Should be up later today), but it was available on the JP PSN which had everything in English. It played and ran very well (Launch PS4) and the only thing I can say to sum up the demo is "Decepticons, transform and rise up!"

[/customspoiler] this morning as well with 100% Item Completion. Not a long game at all, nor is it particular difficult much like the last games. Thanks to finding everything, I had an item that gave me infinite magic which made the last boss an utter joke since you have invulnerability magic. Overall it's pretty good, but a departure from the previous metroidvania title as it's now level/stage based. The only downsides besides not having more levels would be that I feel they make you go back to levels a bit too often. It would've been better if there were a few more levels which I was expecting given the amount of time they spent on development. It's made a little easier though by having Warp Dance and the Whistle. Would've finished quite a bit sooner (5 to 5 1/2 hours) if I made use of them early on. Still definitely worth playing if you're a fan.

Since I played on PC, it ran at a smooth 60 FPS for me with no issues or crashing. Did not encounter any bugs either, which is a plus. Beating it did unlock Hero mode which allows me to start with all transformations, but I don't think I'll be going through it anytime soon.

Just a visual novel with dialogue choices, but there's a separate block-sliding minigame that I honestly enjoyed more than the actual game.

I finally got around to looking at my Zero Time Dilemma premium booklet pdf, and I'm confused about where the six puzzles they mention are supposed to be. The pdf I have is 22 pages. Are the puzzles hidden within the prequel or character profiles, or am I missing some content?

Mine didn't have puzzles either. This person linked the booklet at the end of this article, and it has the extra pages with the puzzles. No idea why they aren't in our booklets, but I've noticed several people had this issue as well.
