Hey everyone, now that Guitar Hero Aerosmith has been released we need CAGs to sign up and help us move up the leaderboards at GuitarHero.com. Once you sign up you are able to link both your GHIII and GH:A games to your account it will keep track of your stats and ranks online along with your career stats. One of the really cool features is the ability to create a Tour Group with all your friends and/or favorite Gaming Community. I looked on the leader boards and saw a number of other sites represented so I thought everyone here at CheapAssGamer should be as well.

I went ahead and created a group and CheapyD liked the idea and suggested I post it here to get as many in the CAG community to sign up! So here is the link:

Good idea. I just registered for the site and hope to join the group soon. Right now I'm waiting for my GHIII bundle to come in from another CAG. It should be here next week and then I can rock!
 
Great! Glad to see people are signing up for this! Very cool that the group accepts everyone regardless of what platform you are playing on. That way we can have CAGs united against the world!

Just to update everyone, we now stand at #31 on the Tour Group Rankings which means we are just a few spots from being on the top page of the leaderboard! One of the great things about the tour groups is that they are CROSS PLATFORM so everyone can join regardless of if you are playing on 360, PS3 or Wii! :D Now you can easily compare your results to others across platforms!

Lets get everyone signing up to represent the CAGs! If you have already signed up then lets start shredding online and gaining some more groupies!

I joined. I can't seem to get my game to link on GH's site. It said they numbers don't match. I'll try again tomorrow.

Yea, they have been having some problems due to the high number of people signing up for the website. A couple other CAGs have had this problem and they tried again later or the following day and it linked up!

Also wanted to update everyone on our progress! We have broken into the top 30 and now stand at #26, just a couple spots from getting to the 1st page of the leaderboard! Nice work everyone! Let's keep the momentum and get some more people to sign up! :D

I picked up the official GHIII soundtrack to get the 3 downloadable songs and I really like them. I wish the CD had a few more songs, but its not a bad song selection. Perfect thing to use one of my BB RZ certificates on! I hope they release soem DLC soon!

Hey everyone, I was just browsing the GHIII Community site and noticed that they added alot of cool functionality to help you track your scores. Now you can see all your scores/streaks/stars for all indivisual songs by tiers and difficulty! They also have stats for all the DLC and Co-Op! It looks like its a great time for everyone to sign up for the CAGs Official Tour Group. Here is the link:

I'd probably participate in the community but in order for me to log in I have to recover my account every time. I reset my password and then it doesn't work.

Anyone else experience this?

Signed up a week ago and my shit still isnt updated properly. But i did try to join the cag group. Im still not really seeing the purpose of this though since my shit dont update.

Another thing, i'm looking at the leaderboards and ranks and stuff, and im not understanding it. How is it that someone with 4 points is in first place when i got 86. The leaderboards are confusing as hell, ingame and out.

They have had some issues with new accounts on the site. It seems like it takes a few days to get everything to sync up to the site. Some people have tried linking up their VIP code from the xbox live menu in game to their account on the site. The re-link has helped some people.

Also if you were not playing online when you completed any of the songs it will not show up on the site. Here is a good link to the forum where one of the mods is answering questions. It might be a good place to ask your question if your account still isn't properly updating:

I put in a request to join since the group I was in was pretty much inactive for the most part ever since Rock Band came out.

I just got Guitar Hero III and Rock Band for Christmas. I'll probably be playing Rock Band a lot between now and New Years, trying to unlock songs to play at the New Years Party I'm hosting. After that, though, I should be playing both pretty evenly.

Hey, thanks for signing up! I went in and approved your membership so you should be good to go. As for me I have been back and forth on GHIII and RB since they came out. I really enjoy both games. Even got the wife to sing a bit in RB which is a first. I even broke out GHII for a bit to polish off the Hard Campaign. Playing GHIII definitely improves your skills in general.

I stopped playing this once rock band came out...But I went back yesterday and miss the guitar charts on this game like no other.

Yea, I have been playing over the weekend thanks to the free song that was released. I really need to find a way to finish off the Hard tour... I think playing RB has hurt my GH skills (not that I had many to start!) ;)
