Join the CAG Steam Community!

Why not just make the Cheap Ass Gamer Community public?
The Joystiq group already has over 1500 members. CAG has like 500.

Prevents spammers/phishers from joining and PMing everyone.

I'm a member of a TF2 group which has over 70000+ members and I've never received any spam or phishing attempts.
Steam doesn't really have anything that will let you send mass messages or PM people who aren't in your friends list, unless you allow that.
 
I have received s/p from public groups and people not on my list. Although it wasn't from an "official" group, but a smaller albeit public group.
 
I got Steam now that it's out for the Mac (and free Portal!) Also picked up Torchlight. Add me to the steam community!

I also have a copy of Team Fortress 2 that I haven't really used much since it was Windows only... but once it's out for Mac I'll be up for some online games of that.
