HP is one of the most popular if not the most popular franchise of our time. If it says Harry Potter on it, it will sell.

Also, Lego games sell a fuckton - Lego Batman has sold 7 million copies.
nice to see Dragon Quest IX on the top 10
Yep, I thought the same thing as soon as I saw the list. That is awesome. It's just nice to see a JRPG show up in the top ten in general.

Nintendo publishing probably helps a lot. There is no way Square Enix can run all those events and promo. This is good for the series after the sales of DQV
Pretty boring when the top selling title for the month cant break 400k..
And people wonder why publishers avoid releasing games during summer

Indeed. This publishing deal with Nintendo is one of the best things to happen to the franchise (in this country) in a long time, maybe ever.

GameLife has NPD numbers for StarCraft II. It sold 721,000 at retail in the US last month, which would put it in the #1 spot if PC games counted.

I truly wondered how Dragon Quest IX would fare here in the U.S. Glad to see it's a success during the first month of release. Looks like the heavy marketing truly paid off (they even had ads in movie theaters for it.)
Is the Wii being outsold by the 360 something new or have I not been paying attention?
