Oh man, I'm torn on MM10. 400MSP is great, but that goddamn 360 controller is horrible for precise platformers.
Use the analog stick. I don't have a problem with Mega Man 10 and I even own it on the Wii too. If I play it I always choose the 360 since for some reason I enjoy the controller better (weird yes).

Yeah, these were all part of their "Spring Block"... which makes me wonder if I should buy any of their summer titles since they'll most likely go on sale eventually anyway.

Exactly what I'm going to do in the future. Bought Scrap Metal full price (and it was worth it) but I can't deny that paying less for the same thing, a bit later, is better.

I'll be getting Megaman and at least try the Afterburner demo

Do you have a classic controller?

It is absolutely choice when it comes to Mega Man.

And for some reason I thought After Burner was 1200 regular? Odd...

It's suppose to be fantastic. I'll grab the demo and check it out later tonight.

Yeah I'm with you guys. I really want Puzzle Quest 2 but if waiting a few months means getting a discount then I'm willing to wait.

Yes, I used the classic controller since I hate the Wiimote side ways and I still didn't really feel that comfortable with Mega Man 10. I don't know why but I found the 360 controller with the analog stick to be really good.

Done ...

every single game during this years summer arcade block is going to be 1200 MS Points...I'm sick of this new trend therefore I'll be waiting on all of them to drop (via sale) before I even consider purchasing them

I still think that the games should be capped at 800 points...in a year we'll start to see each game hit the 1600 point range as the norm and it'll only keep going up as people pay for them

anyways...

I'm still debating on MMX. On 1 hand I used to love the games but 9 didn't really do it for me anymore so I wonder if I've just moved on from them and should give it a pass despite its low price

and that "music sale"...I wish they'd have just made every song priced at 80MS points. I'll never buy a full album but I'd love to grab a handful of songs for $1 each as opposed to their normal $2

I agree with you on 1200MSP games. The only game I got for 1200MSP was Marvel vs. Capcom 2 which I wish I had waited for a sale. I will never spend that much on an Arcade game again. I will wait for a sale.

I would recommend Mega Man 10 especially for 400MSP. It has an Easy Mode and plenty of replay value with the Challenge Modes and such.

Totally agree with that as well.... I can't justify the 1200pt. 800 seems better since you still have a few left over for some music game ad on content or other dlc. Although, now I pick up everything at 400pts and wait for sales lol.

ya I caved and picked up MM10. I forgot it had easy mode in the new Mega Man. The strangest thing is that I used to be able to beat the games easily when I was under 10. Now at 25 I'm fairly useless at them...funny how things work

I was all set to buy After Burner as well but the demo showed that it wasn't my style

It's not you. 9 was brutally hard, easily the worst of the series. To the point of not being fun for me... It's the reason I haven't picked up 10, even with an easy setting I just don't know if it's a waste of my time.

I saw the bump and thought there were new deals posted. Doh. :)

But I will agree on pricing. I bought quite a few games at 800 kind of thoughtlessly, but 1200 is a level where I really think about it. And to date, I've thought about it so much I don't think I've bought a single arcade title at that price.

I hope gamers are responding well enough to the recent round of good sales. I know I've bought an Arcade title for three straight weeks after going quite a long time (i.e.: multiple months) without buying a thing. I figure if they see the economic benefit they'll do it more. Clearly discounting has a huge benefit for publishers and platform holders on the iPhone and Steam marketplaces.

Once again I recommend 10 and this is from someone who barely even beat Splash Woman. I also beat Gravity Man but he wasn't that difficult. Mega Man 10 Easy Mode is easy enough that you can finish it and it is a lot of fun.

FYI

Also on sale this week (07/12 - 07/19) is Eric Cartman singing Lady Gaga's Poker Face for Rock Band 80 M$pts instead of 160 M$pts (50% off)

regarding next week's Borderlands DLC. Is the community still active? I still have the Zombie Island DLC unstarted on my system so I'd probably grab Secret Armory is the community is still alive and well as I heard that 1 of the bosses in it is almost impossible solo
I just picked up AssCreed2 and haven't played it yet.

Is the DLC worth it?
I would say it is worth it if you really like AC2 and want more of the same. If you don't like AC2 much or had enough of it after beating it than this DLC doesn't really do anything different. I bought all the DLC yesterday and it took me about 3 hours to get through all of it. For ~$6, I felt that was worth it.

You also get a new area of Florence to explore, access to the Flying Machine anytime, and a new move which I used only once or twice. No new achievements. I would recommend getting the slightly more expensive Bonfire DLC with the 3 extra Templar dungeons because I really had a lot of fun with those.

Not the best DLC I've played but again, it's pretty cheap.

GOD-fuckING-DAMMIT! I just bought the Underdome Saturday night because I wanted the storage bank even though I felt that was worth $5 tops. fuck!

I wonder if I can complain/beg somewhere.

anyone know what level the content in the Armory DLC starts at?? I have a level 36 character and will go through the Zombie DLC I've yet to start but I won't replay through the whole game again just to get to a sufficient level to play the Armory content should it be in the 50's

For the first playthrough you should be fine in the high 30's or early 40's. For the second playthough you need to be at least lv 50. If you've got the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned to go through still you'll get to 40 without too much hassle.
steam deal was way better. Borderlands PLUS all the DLC for $22.
XBL deals can never touch Steam deals. Valve cares a lot more about their customers than Microsoft does. However, if PC is not an option for you, than the XBL deals are better than nothing.

Got Borderlands for $15 buck from eBay+12 bucks for DLC. Pretty close to Stream Deal.

I Paid $16.50 for the 1600 points so counting $1 for each 100 points.
Is this Borderlands stuff worth getting or can you just rent a disc and play it?
The first two addons (Zombie Island and Underdome) are able to be installed from the double add-on disc with no problems. I ended up getting that and splitting the cost of the disc with a few friends and purchased the 3rd addon yesterday during the sale.

If you don't mind, it might be easier to jump into a high level game and just soak up the extra experience to get to 61. The game is so easy now that most people don't care if they're still playing it (you can solo Crawmerax after all).
