i myself don't buy PH games, i like the original box art for one and also enjoy collecting the "original" versus some discount looking game in my collection

just a personal preference
 
Why do you say sadly that it was the Platinum edition? Is there a difference between the original and platinum?

not necessarily...non PH get clearanced first generally. in other cases they are mixed in with the originals and youll get it for the same price
 
I'm a total "original cover only" person since I collect games. Showing off the "cheep" version isn't very gratifying.

Found three copies for $5 each at my Sears about six months ago. Kept one sold the other two.
 
covered this already on the sears thread. someone reported it cheaper at $5.97.
