Killzone 2 Freezing

Is it normal for freezing to happen while playing the game?

I've looked around and it says that its normal for loading which I think Im experiencing. Its a freeze for about 5-10 seconds and then its fine. Campaign only,its normal right? Sorry a bit of OCD.

Normal... but it should really only be less than 3 seconds, not 10.

Did you try the unpause button on your ps3?

Yeah, it usually freezes at the checkpoints. It's about 3-5 seconds for me.
