Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason Problem

Has anyone tried to launch the free version of Kinect Sports Rivals? I tried this morning, but I couldn't get it past the loading screen. It will land on a screen with a huge "START" button in the bottom right, but I have no idea what I need to do to actually start it. No button on the controller seems to do anything, and I can't get the Kinect to give me any sort of hand or anything on screen.

Am I doing something wrong?!?

Im having the exact same problem

I read that you raise your arm to engage the cursor but does nothing

I got it to work with d pad
