No, my total was 135.xx for Portal 2, Crysis 2, and 2 20 dollar PSN cards, and I used 30 in SYWR points to get it to 105.xx Still got the coupons just fine.

Josh- i asked earlier and one guy guessed, but I want a definitive answer.. if I buy two $20 psn cards, will i get the $15 coupon, or will i have to get one more thing to push my total over $40?
 
forgot to mention card stock. store 7749 didn't have 1600 msp or $20 psn. wasn't surprising since I've never seen them since I've been regularly checking since last Aug/Sept. store 7777 did not have psn cards left when I arrived. a cag informed me there were a few left, but I was too late. the 1600 msp will probably be out by Saturday.

so I picked up MK (no shirt -_-) and 4 1600 msp cards. I initially had a clearance game and 3 cards, but the subtotal wasn't hitting $120. I had a $5 coupon and the $10 instant taking off. So apparently coupons and buy X get Y for $Z off discounts affect these coupon/deal triggers.

If they're able to extend the expiration to include Dirt 3, I'm in. Otherwise games released from now until May 21 do not interest me. Splash Damage doesn't have the greatest track record and the other games mentioned are platform exclusives. I don't speak for everyone and nobody needs to ask me for my opinion, just like I didn't ask for anyone else's opinion. I've already purchased over 10 brand new games from Kmart since October and I still think this has been their worst deal. Have fun using your $60 coupon on a game released from now until May 21st. In less than a month or two, you'll find them on sale for $40.

You should give other CAGs more credit. I think those who know what they're getting into will know how to use this deal and their coupons effectively--hence making this a (relatively) awesome deal.

You can basically get 3 $60 games in the next month for essentially $40 a pop, play them, then trade them in while their trade in values are high, but you'd rather wait for them to drop to $40 anyway?

have fun being a ass clown :lol:. also it is 2 coupons. one for 15 and one for 45. so that is a deal off 2 or three games or more depending how you use them. cant believe the nerve of some of these newbies. they come in and act like iatcg.

Gotta think outside the box, man. There are no games coming out before May 21st that I want, so I'll be using all my coupons on PSN cards. Between Rock Band song releases, new PSN games, and other add-ons, I usually spend between $20-$40 in the PSN store per week anyways.

That's true of almost any game at any time. Also remember we'll get another $20 coupon with LA Noire and Brink anyway. So pretend I paid full price for MK/Portal (and got the free $20 PSN card). Now I can get LA Noire and another $20 coupon for $15 using the $45 coupon. I could also get Brink and another $20 coupon for $45 since I've also got a $15 coupon.

So $60 cash spent for LA Noire and Brink plus $40 in coupons, which is much much better than waiting a month or two just to pay $40 anyway.

Also, if you do the deals right they can be nearly a steal. I bought MK/Portal + $20 PSN card for $112.XX after using $15 in SYWR. I sold the PSN card and Mortal Kombat for about $63. So in the end paid $49 cash for Portal 2 and $60 in coupons. And I've made out much better than that on some of these deals.
 
Iwent to a kmart today and they had fire emblem for the wii still 49.99. When will we have the new list for price drops, want to get in on some of these before this sunday. Did metroid prime trilogy drop in price?

I know I picked up Wario Land Shake for $29.99 and it was still priced at $49.99.

As for MP:Trilogy, I just bought it yesterday for $49.99.

I think you're missing the point.

Using the coupons on a new release game between now and the expiration for a discount on that game is good. But you're also getting another coupon with that release, most likely, which you can use further in the future, and so on.

Furthermore, you're talking shit to people about something that doesn't work because it's not what YOU want. The guy complaining about not being able to use it on a racing game of all things is calling people out about wasting their money? lol

We will have fun using our coupons on a $60 game and getting another $20-25 coupon. Or using it on a clearance game. Or a 3DS game. Or XBLA/PSN credit. Or whatever!

People trolling these threads really don't try very hard, do they?

this is what I've been searching for for like 2 hours now. I plan on buying MK + P2 + either a PSN card or 1600 and I really hope it prints out both. my idea was that since the 1600 is 19.99 it won't discount the 10 twice since it'll essentially be giving you a cent. but I really don't know :/ need more feedback that's current! D:
 
Will the $15 coupon be voided if I return a game? I really want to pick up Portal 2 but don't think I can justify spending an extra $60 if I have to keep Mortal Kombat to keep the original coupon.
 
I don't understand the argument "I'll wait until it's $40." Almost every release has $20 coupon to go with it. Isn't it easier to get it for $40 then? I guess I understand it with the way the sale is right now, as you can buy crysis 2 discounted and still get a coupon, but that's still something that rarely happens.

I believe the value of the coupon is deducted from your return value. So if you returned one it would actually deduct $45 from the returned amount because you would only have recieved a $15 coupon if you bought only Portal 2.

yes, they rang it up for 49.99(fire emblem) , guy even checked to see if there were any price drops. i remember reading it can take up to a week for price changes.

I got Fire Emblem Wii for 29.99
Also picked up a copy of Buzz Quiz Tv with the Buzzers for 29.97
Mortal Kombat PS3 and a Xbox live card.

So right now I'm sitting with $60 coupons and $13 reward dollars

More then likely I know I'm going to get LA Noire, just haven't decided what version, have to wait and see what digital foundry says.

Kmart is great.

Normally Kmart just sells live cards and not indiviual content cards.
The only store I know that does that is gamestop.

Just pick up a live card from kmart.
 
have 4 MS cards I am trying to sell right now...have tons of MS points...want to use a coupon and get a deal with it :)

Cant wait to see what the LA Noire deal will be.
 
I don't think you would be able to use a coupon on the DLC for Black Ops.

I think the lowest coupon right now is $15 and the DLC is $15 even if they sell the DLC you won't be able to use your coupon. It has to be at least a penny more to use it. Can't use coupons to get anything free. So the DLC would have to be $15.01.
 
Just got back from the closest Kmart I live by in Fort Pierce, Fl. That 45 minute drive was pointless. I had Portal 2 And Mortal Kombat in my hand and they said there was no known deal. They checked the computers and spoke with the manager and couldn't find anything. I just got Mortal Kombat at Best Buy by my house instead and will get Portal off Amazon. It's too late now but was there any way I should've handled the situation? Just in case another Kmart deal pops my interest.
 
I received a new title, I still be 100% involved in video games and KmartGamer, actually, KmartGamer just became my full time job.

I'll finally be getting a buyer to take over my current daily job so I can really make this thing run the way it should!

i have two questions, if i buy mortal kombat and crysis 2 as well as 2 psn cards do i get the do i get the instant savings of $20 as well as the $60 coupon? also does the instant savings for the psn cards deter from the subtotal for the coupons?

The best way is not to say anything to the clerk about the deal since he/she is usually clueless. You should have just scanned all your items and let the deal go through since it set up through the register regardless of what the clerk/manager says.

Yes, the deal would have worked regardless of their ignorance. If in the small chance it would not have worked out, we would have sent you a gift card to honor the deal.

If those cards ring up as $20 and you buy two then yes that will net you a $15 game coupon. I believe everyone said the PSN cards are a flat $20 and xbox 1600 point cards are $19.99
