Kmart here in Johnson City, TN was staffed by a very knowledgeable guy who actually came up to me before I even asked for anything to inform me of the deal and ask if I was a club member. I got lucky and found a copy of Star Ocean: Second Evolution for PSP after some digging in the clearance stuff, which I got as my free game ($19.97).

I was actually almost going to pass on the deal (though, really, probably not because I'm weak) and was battling with whether to get Metal Gear Solid 4 or Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker, but then I found the Star Ocean game which is one I've been searching for locally because it's gotten pretty pricy online.
 
Got the PS3 version (difficult to do as a recovering achievement whore, but the bonus content, better framerate, single disk, and ability for my gf to play it won me over).

Got Punch Out!! for the Wii for free and got the $20 coupon no problem. Hoping to use that on a $20 PSN card to get future L.A. Noire DLC (and avoid giving Sony another credit card number...).

This was in Barboursville, WV.

Alan Wake was one of the games identified yesterday with an issue because the price drop was a hold over, so your point is incorrect. The others with issues were the 4 Wii Select Games and Enslaved (assuming this is because of the KMart Exclusive SKU?)

It's known to us that games with the recent price drops ring up at the old prices when scanned by price checkers. The registers bring them up at the reduced price and report that you saved $40.02 (or whatever) at the tail end of the receipt. You should have taken them to the register.

Yes, though you can't apply a $20 coupon to a $19.99 XBox card without gaming filler. The $20 PSN cards work fine alone.

Just go out there and try. Obviously if the deal doesnt work, Josh will help.

Go to Kmart, pick out L.A. Noire, the 19.99 game you want and check out. If the total doesnt seem right, ask them if the 19.99 game came off, if not point out that on Kmartgamer.com which is in their ad, says you get a game free, and if they say online only, point out that it says In store offers.

The guy at my kmart, he went into the back and looked online at the page and took care of everything for me. Took 40 some minutes but I ended up walking out with the deal.

Unless you know that someone on here goes to the same store as you, I don't think you will be satisfied with an answer. It seems that everything is working okay but if for some reason your K-Mart NEVER reboots their register then you might have an issue. But I REALLY think you will be just fine.

Here I thought Kmart was getting better. I guess I was wrong. I am lucky I only ordered a $20 game and not anything real valuable. Even the game's plastic wrap was shredded.

If I knew how to insert pictures without the link I would.

Like this. You need to insert the actual image URL with the IMG tags. On ImageVenue, just click on the "get link code for this image" link on the bottom of the page and then copy and paste the second box of code for inserting in forums.

Anyone know of a way to check stock on games at K-Mart? I usually don't take advantage of the deal because it is kind of a drive from me with nothing else around it, but this is an especially good one even more so because I have a wealth of SYWR points from my days being employed at Sears.

I tried calling but the person in electronics said that they aren't familiar with games and I should head in to check..

EDIT: emailed Josh and got a response in minutes saying he would forward it to the right person and get an answer. Talk about great service!

While i was at kmart picking up LA i read that on the Singularity case they'll throw in a copy of Prototype if you buy it my question is. If i have gotten LA with the deal that is going on this week and Singularity(19.97) would i also get Prototype free as well? So LA + Free game deal(singularity) + free game(Prototype) + $20coupon valid next week.

You can try mygopher.com. I believe you will have to create a free account through them. I've had mixed luck with that site though. Some of the clearanced games were not showing up for me through that site, but were there when I went to pick up LAN.

I'm betting that is no longer valid. Just a quick google search led me to a site saying it was valid until 8/31/10.

On another note, Josh is AWESOME! We within this community do not tell him this nearly enough. He definitely rights the wrongs!

Well...this is disappointing!
I just recently started purchasing games from my local K-mart because of the Kmartgamer deals (had switched from using Amazon). However...it appears that K-mart just never has any stock. When I purchased Portal 2 and MK last month for the $60 gaming credit my local store didn't have any copies of Portal 2 in stock, but luckily the Kmart store in the next county had a copy (45 minute drive). I purchased those two games specifically at Kmart to use the $60 credit for LA Noire this month, but of course my local store has no copies of LA Noire for either system as of yesterday evening (the day the game came out). Neither does the store in the next county. They won't offer a rain check, nor do they have the option to order online and have the item shipped to the store or my home. The next closest store is a good hour and fifteen minute drive. So now I'm going to miss out on my $60 credit, a free $19.99 game, and an extra $20 gaming credit! Ridiculous!

I know I can use my credit on some other game...but there is nothing else I really wanted...which means I'll end up picking up something that I will probably never play. Now I know why there are forum post on a lot of sites like CAG were the forum poster states that they just got tired of being burnt by Kmart gaming deals.

Everyone who got this weeks LA Noire deal...Enjoy!

Michega- I hear ya about the stocking issue. My Kmart was the same yesterday. But they were just slow on stocking the display case and was able to pick up my copy today. I, too, had the $60 credit and applied it to LA Noire and picked up Singularity for free. However, my $20 coupon didn't print. I complained and they stated they (and it says it on your coupons) cannot be used for Buy one Get one free offers. So, in actuality they can' t be used for LA Noire. But I still complained, and they ended up giving me a $20 gift card. So after the transaction, I was refunded $ .01, received a $ 20 gift card. And to top it off, I went straight over to my local Walmart and returned Singularity and received $ 42.46 in store credit.

i went in with a cashier named lillie. picked up 1 copy of la noir for 360,resonance of fate and everything rang perfectly. i also got my 20 dollar coupon.

Went to the Kmart in Aurora in Seattle, WA. The stock was virtually empty. There were a bunch of 19.99 games out, but the locked cabinet with the new releases was damn near empty. The 360 had way less stock than the PS3 as well. There may have only been 4 or 5 different games on the shelf.

That was seriously the worst outing to Kmart I've had. Went to go get LA Noire, which of course they were out of stock (guess I'm buying from Amazon =/). The guy said they sold out yesterday, but based on their current stock, I'm going to assume that the Kmart only had around 5 copies of the game. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'd at least like to think that they had 25ish copies that sold out (so I don't feel like shopping at Kmart is a complete waste of my time), but I have a feeling that is not even remotely correct.

Another weird thing was they had a FEAR 3 slot in the shelf (which was empty). Does that Kmart have FEAR 3's that they accidentally sold?

Overall feeling after leaving... 3/10. +1 because they actually had the game on release day and +1 for having a large selection of 19.99 games. -7 for above reasons and very unfriendly/unhelpful electronics guy.

I didn't get a printed coupon yesterday, but I did get the digital receipt with coupon (even has a bar code) in my email. Josh said it should work just fine and not to worry. The whole point of the digital coupon is to cover you in case you lose your receipt (or, in my case, never got the coupon that was supposed to print).

yeah I have those...but I'm talking about returning a game I used the coupon on... the game was 30 and I used a 15 gamer coupon, and paid 15 cash... how do I return it and not lose the 15 from the coupon.. gift card? or just do an exchange?

Nope. You'd be out the coupon. You might be able to talk them into an even exchange though.

ie explain it to the manager and get a different $30 game. You won't be able to get $15 and a coupon or gift card back.

Store 4720 still doesn't have LAN out and "they've not seen any of these" and I should check back tomorrow -- after a 30 minute wait for a person. Also think I got a red light camera ticket on the way back to work, since that KMart is in a crappy area I don't go to much and I wasn't paying attention (obviously not Kmart's fault, but if I get a ticket, it will make the experience seem even more annoying).

Email sent to the address in the 2nd post. Not sure the last time I've been to Kmart (or when I will go back) -- It's a shame, there were plenty of 19.99 games I'd have been happy to get too.

I'm not sure what that first part means in the context of my post (I didn't mean she looked for 30 minutes, I meant I had to look for a person for 30 minutes -- or more specifically, I spent about 30 minutes browsing the games and clearance before deciding that nobody was working in electronics and I was about to leave, before I finally saw a person and chased her down). Also, I'm very fat, so chasing a person is very inconvenient.
