Lair PS3 -- $30 at Amazon

I found it at Blockbuster for $14.99 last week. It does seem to be holding onto that $30 price tag too well...

So this game sucks even after that new patch? I heard the patch made the game pretty good because it fixed the controls. Maybe I'll still stay away then.

Totally worth it. This game kicks so much ass. My personal GOTY. I hear they're adding trophies sometime next August, so keep that in mind.

the game was just impossible without the patch but afterwards it was playable...
I thought it was ok until you have to do annoying escort missions and such... worth $20 but not 30

Just to reiterate what everyone else has said, this game is horrible and shouldn't be bought for any price. Would you buy NCAA 2003 if it was fifteen cents? No, because that would be too much and this is the same thing.

Not everyone else here said this game shouldnt be bought at any price... many said that $30 is too much... it is... you find it for $6, you have got a good deal, and if you dont like the game... you make your money back selling it

Agreed. I bought it for $20 a few months back and really enjoyed the game. The patch added analog controls, but I really prefer the motion controls, they actually work very well for this game. After about 5min of playing, I was controlling everything how I wanted, and it feels really natural actually. If you love dragons/dragon games like I do, then this game is for you. The graphics really do look great, and the gameplay/controls are good as well. For $15-$20, everyone should give it a try.

I'm dissapointed it hasn't dropped more yet. I'd like to try it, supposedly the people who get used to the original controls like it a lot, and even if I can't the patch should make it playable. Once it hits $10 I'll give it a shot.

I don't know why people rip this game so badly. They obviously have never played it, or only played it for a few minutes. How are the graphics a disaster exactly? It runs in 1080p I thought, it looks absolutely amazing compared to most PS3 games.

The gameplay could use some work, but it is definitely worth $15-20. Saying it isn't worth $5 is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard.

I got it for $10 from Fry's a while ago, like this summer, and is a decent game ... however definitely not a $40+ buy. I am sure you can find a better deal than the OP's price, I know Sears had it cheap when I was looking for LBP early (I just had the game already).

Really, with the patch it's a medicore to decent game that has a horrible reputation because Sony talked a lot of crap and made themselves look foolish with their review kits and reaction to less than stellar reviews.

The controls do work reasonably well enough, but do have a learning curve. That could be said about tons of games, though, so I say give it a chance. Not for $30, though.
