laptop advice

CAGiversary!
Since it's been a while and 3rd Gen Ivy Bridges are out, here I am posting.

I have about $1500 Amazon credits and I can pay a little bit more, if needed.

I was looking at the below two, but if you can recommend me anything else, please let me know. I don't know how reliable the brands are because I normally desktop and custom build it. Hopefully I can get something that can at least run PCSX2 decently for most games such as Suikoden, FFX and so on.

Remember that it has to be something from Amazon due to the credits I have on it. Your feedback is much appreciated! Also, I don't need a desktop, I need a laptop. I already have a Desktop that was customed by a friend that can run BF3 on Ultra with 1080p. I'm sure laptops can't do that at the moment, but hey, I don't really need Ultra for Bf3 either

Not needed, but if I can easily swap HDD or has an extra HDD bay for a SSD, that would be beneficial, but not required. Hopefully something Ivy-Bridge as well

This also looks great, but don't think it can game well?

I'm pretty sure any of those can run PCSX2 just fine. My computer has a video card that is just a hair above an HD 3000 and it runs it at just bearable.

If money is no object than the samsung series 7 is probably the most powerful one you have listed.

The Graphics card is one of the most important things this site has them all bench marked with different games with different hardware setups it should give you a good idea of what kind of performance you can expect..(They also benchmark some laptops so if any of those laptops are listed you can get an even more precise idea)

As far as installing a sata drive, you could always look into installing an msata drive instead, in a compatible laptop you can install it addition to the normal hardrive(ussually replaces something like an internet card). I know it is an option on most levnovo brand laptops.

I just got the Asus G75VW last week. I only got it the day before I left for a weekend trip so I have not played Diablo 3 yet. What I can tell you is that it has room for an additional ssd or hdd. It also has hardware raid and Intel SRT. The G55 is just a 15" version but I don't know if the additional drive bay is there. I plan to play somen tonight after I get home a d can post some impressions.
