Summary for the lazy:

There will be a starter kit, live subscription card, 3 month trial, and something for market place points.

The only differences between the bonus remote and the regular one is that the bonus one isn't backlit, and you can't control your TV with it.

Release Date is hinted to be on Tuesday, November 15 2005.

Only top xbox games will be available for B/C at launch

You can play games online w/ gold account on your xbox and xbox 360, just not at the same time.

The HDD supposedly isn't as important from a game point of view as it was for XBOX 1. However, some games will need a harddrive.

Until December 2007, only MicroSoft can make wireless controllers for XBOX360, so no 3rd party support. 3rd parties can make wired controllers though.

First Party MS games will be $50. The writer of this article makes a good point, which is that 3rd party companies wouldn't look too great if they charged more than MS.

Bargain games will be at $30.

Well the third party companies charge more on the DS then Nintendo so I dont put it past say EA charging more for a 360 title at all.

Yep, exactly what I predicted with the casino game price that people were pointing out was only $29.99.

EDIT: And as far as the 'bonus' remote goes, wtf is the point of it being a bonus if it can't do things a normal one can.

My god, time to start selling videos and games regardless of if I want to or not, this system is going to be insanely expensive!

Its not like it lacks media center capability, it just doesn't have pretty lights, and you can't change the channel on your TV with it. Which most people wouldn't do anyway.

I'm probably nuts, but I think Microsoft is more likely to keep their promise than Sony. They really need to do whatever they can right now to gain marketshare.

....which is why 2 bundles is a BAD idea. IMO, but that just doesnt seem, ya know, helpful

Apparently there is a visual difference between the core and regular systems, besides the HDD...Platinum detailing, I wonder what that will look like

Dammit this should be a separate output straight out. If Sony could have two different A/V outputs in the early days of the PSOne I don't see why MS couldn't with the 360 and HDMI. Just throw it into the value package since that includes an HD cable.
Also I agree with Nigel here, package pricing is gonna hurt MS in the end. Anyway mark my words, when the 360 comes out there will be NO shortage of them. What's gonna happen is the core system will sell out and not enough people will want to pay for the $400 pack for it to sell out.

The good thing about the brochure is that it shows the plug and play kit and what comes with it. I thought I was going to have to pay $19.99 for just a cable and $11.99 for the rechargeable battery. Looks like you get the rechargeable battery pack and cable for a total of $19.99. That's not a bad deal for battery and cable.
