The only game I ordered got cancelled. lol... I guess I should have picked a different store.

So, here's the thrilling conclusion to my saga.

After my wife (finally) arrived home from work, we had a quick discussion and it was decided that I should try and pick these up tonight if I'm to have any shot of getting anything out of this deal. (When I was adding things to my cart this morning the cheap prices weren't showing up unless I switched it to a different store, 30 minutes away.) So I hopped in the car and fought through the rush hour traffic, eventually arriving at the WM 40 minutes later. After finding the service desk (our local has a separate WM.com pickup desk, this one was the regular service desk), I hand the girl my order # and ID and she looks it up. (This was after I stood there for 10 minutes as the woman in front of me was putting a ton of toys on layaway. Layaway! It's still a thing, apparently) As she walks to the back I hear her say to someone, "call Heather." She emerges from the back with my stack of boxes just as Heather walks up. "Its the guy with the Legos," she says. Shit! I think to myself, this isn't going to go smoothly. Heather arrives on the scene and basically says: "You've obviously heard about the pricing problems so I can only sell you one of these sets for $10.99. Now, I'm not one for confrontations, and I wasn't in the mood to be a dick and argue, so I picked the LotR Pirate Ship Ambush (over the King's Castle. I know, fewer pieces, but I have most of the other LotR sets.) 

TL, DR

hour+ of driving for one set at around 90% off. Still pretty CAG-tastic

Oh, and after I arrived back at home I had a slew of emails cancelling my remaining orders and WM said they'd issue me a $10 GC for the errors.

 
I was able to pick up the "pick up today" stuff even though I got the order cancellation + gift card email. I placed multiple orders for site-to-store so I don't know if all orders were cancelled at once.

Walmart is selling the Hobbit extended edition blu ray for $20 so $10 once the gift card hits :p

I was also able to pick up a couple of orders, though none were Lego. The lady at my store did not seem to care or even notice she was handing me $20+ controllers for 3 dollars along with infinity starter set and pokemon x/y for $18.

I placed an order for 5 Lego sets to be shipped (big sets were all sold out by the time I noticed Lego sets also had price mistakes). I just got the cancel + "$10 e-gift card within the next 5 days" email and see that they only cancelled my LR stagecoach, and creator thunderwings. The gold getaway, flying dutchman, and comanche camp are still processing. I got all of them shipped just because my store didn't have the creator set and I didn't want to pay shipping... oh well, hopefully I get those three sets with free shipping and my $10 GC. If not I am happy enough with my games and controllers. Congrats to those who got the bigger sets for $11. I wonder how much WM lost over this fiasco.  

 
Afterglow wiiu pro controller and powerA mini proex were the two I got. They also had some powerA wii ones but I have enough wiimotes. No first party controllers that I saw. I picked up the 360 one for my PC and the two wii u ones so I now have 4 pro controllers and will be ready for multiplayer MK when that hits. I picked up the other two from the best buy clearance one first party and one afterglow. 

Also, to be more on topic, lego polys hit 90% off at target today. I called my GF to tell her about the jones soda for $0.83 so she went to her local target and found 8 of the witch polys for $0.49.

 
Wow, that's awesome. Let us know when you get them.

They canceled three of my four orders. The last one is for the council of elrond, which would only end up being half price ($10.99+$5 shipping). Maybe they will let that one ship.

Were your Orthanc's on a separate order for expedited delivery or were they connected to one of your pickup orders?

I found this way before it hit slickdeals and put a large order in with several $100 plus sets. My order has not been cancelled yet and is showing processing. I'm hoping it still goes through.

Orthancs were attached to a pick up order that went through, but they were the only things shipped to home on that order. The total order probably was for 6 sets including the 2 Orthancs. The only order I had canceled was a ship to store order of about 10 sets. I also got in on this deal pretty early, while it seemed that everyone was focused on the game deals. Not sure why I decided to look for LEGOs, but sure glad I did.
 
TRU has lego city tanker truck on sale for $10 tomorrow through Monday as part of a veterans day sale. If anyone got in on the either $5 or $6 for $10 groupon a week or so ago this means you can get it for exactly $6.

 
I finished building the Lone Ranger mine set, cool set, but a little open, should have a few more pieces to close it up some.

And of course I stick all the good pieces, the wine bottle, dynamite, and silver bars in the rock piece.  Then lost the rock piece!

 
Walmart cancelled the last of my orders, and they made sure of it by sending me 3 emails for each order.

I did get the $10 e-gift card though.

 
Walmart recalled my order. Orthancs are being returned to sender. They arrived in town, I was excited to receive them, and now they are going back. Bitches
 
Doh, that sucks.  At least you got some stuff.  I saw a pic of another CAG in the other thread that got 4 or so of the ships and some other sets too.  

 
Target has a train poly and what I believe is the same tmnt poly at tru right now. They also have the friends ice cream stand that they had last year. The train looks cool, I may buy one before it even hits clearance just in case. I also picked up the tanker truck from tru today. Really happy with it for $6. Hopefully they have one more sale that will be exactly $10 before my last Groupon expires.

There is also bricklink.com It has more uses but a horrible setup.

Then of course LEGO S@H has a pick-a-brick in case you just need a few pieces and can add them to an order.

Is Lego Juniors a new product? I'm assuming it fills the gap between Duplo and Lego, but I'd like to know more.

Yes, they have a ton of Super Hero sets coming out next year, they seem to be Lego sized but with bigger molded pieces vs. smaller individual pieces.

 
LEGO Juniors is like Playmobile to me.  Even the box designs remind me of the ripoff sets.

They are supposed to be quick building sets, but they look mainly fine to me.  There is the Spiderman set, a Batcave set, and a whole bunch from different themes.

If you liked LEGOs around the year 2000, it's pretty much like every set from back them.  :lol:

 
But you can already get Spiderman and the black creature thing in the $20 set that comes with an awesome car, little motorcycle and Samuel L. Jackson's character.

It won't happen.  :lol:

They are doing Batman and Spiderman because 5 year olds like them the most.  They don't know, nor care about Black Widow.
