Why don't we infiltrate Microsoft next time take over their servers and staff as hostages and dish out demands:

-Listen Microsoft you gotta make all XBLMarket place completely free for few days so we can grab all the shit that we can muster into our limited hard drive space-

...Or else all your servers are going down, and I mean DOWN with the staff.

they are not allowed to post about how to circumvent the region locks/marketplace in order to get said free games in the countries they do not reside in.

people warning the CAGs posting the former drive me about as nuts as people posting the latter.

I have been frequenting this thread at least once a day for about a year, and have seen all of the same pointless posts and ignorant speech you all have (along with the very helpful and edifying as well) but I won't feel right without saying something about this garbage. Two people "liked" it, so I could not justify at least one person not saying something against it.

Infiltrate Microsoft and take their staff hostage? On the demand they give us everything on LIVE for free? Or the servers go "down with the staff?"

I feel it is likely the poster did not mean this statement to have such gravity, and the comments are just vague enough that one could try to argue he didn't mean anything violent by saying he was going to take the staff hostage and take them "down," but we all know that would be bull. Are we seriously about to allow this kind of speech on this thread? Is this 4chan?

I truly hope this doesn't become a flame war, and I am not going to reply in such a fashion as to perpetuate that. I don't hold it against this poster really, but I felt that someone should bite this in the ass. I am sure someone could pick apart what I have said and try to find fault, but I believe the majority of us on this thread want to recognize this and move on from it and be better than implying violence against people and companies just to get free stuff.

I know none of you know me, but trust me when I say am not a wet blanket... I cringe to think of how I sound right now, being that guy that wants to try to preach to others. That's not me. but this.... let's not go down that path.

That being said, I love this thread and I have not signed up till now to be able to post. That's my bad... I'm sorry to have waited until I had something negative to say to say anything at all. If you guys don't hate me after this, I will get involved more. Thanks for reading.

The post you were referring to was an exercise of sarcasm, thats all. I picked up on the joke form a fellow CAG, lol maybe he was not joking. Maybe he really likes to steal stuff from marketplace. Oh well every CAG is a unique peace of work, what you gonna do!?

Now I feel like I overreacted with the long post... I don't know. All I know is when I saw that it bugged me, not that I thought it was THAT serious, but it was just out of nowhere, like damn. And people can get so heated over the internet, I didn't want to see that path start here... but I see it was apparently an inside joke. I'm sorry, I really have read every single post on this thread and I still somehow didn't realize... should I just delete theses? I feel pretty dumb now.

You gotta admit, it is a REALLY good impression of the average hater spouting garbage on the internet, but you obviously are not like that, as I see now.

I never get why Germany ban games that is too violent or gory, sure someone would points to WW2, but don't you want them to know the horror of war by making them playing these type of games thus more aware of violence and gore??? The last thing the world need is for Germans to think when they shoot someone, candies fell out.

Surely you admit that some things that are banned in Germany are odd though. It's really not like Metro 2033 is a family friendly Disney game or something. Also, even with the banned games you can actually still get physical copies from online sources can't you?

Yeah, but let's say you want to Play Dead Island on your German 360. It's not as easy as ordering copies. German copies of the game do not exist, therefore won't work with the German Xbox. And not only that, it's List B, so it's literally illegal to own. The officials didn't even look at Riptide, we don't get it at all.

Sure, some of the censorship is odd here. Almost all the games we DO get are dumbed-down versions. Hell, we only got DooM TWO YEARS AGO!

what are you talking. i am from germany and that's not true. if it is listed B it just means it can get banned. And even if is getting banned you can import it without any problems for private usage. In this case it is just not allowed for German stores to own and sell them to anyone.

And of course you can use any version of Dead Island on your German xbox. I own the UK version but even the US version is regionfree (US version has a censored cover though).

I already have Dead Island (GotY) so I am happy about the change.

No. List B is illegal. Also, your attempt at speaking bad english is both offensive and stupid. If I go to your other posts, I can clearly see you speak English just fine.

His English was just fine in that post. As the previous post said you are coming off as rude towards everyone for no good reason as well. Not that I want to get into an argument here as this really isn't the place for it but a simple Google search also quickly confirms that you are the one that is wrong. There are a bunch of region free X360 games and private possession of most banned games in Germany is perfectly legal.

well. i can play games like dead rising, dead island, wolfenstein, gears of war and other games without any problems. and its not the xbox that has region lock. some games have a region lock and the developers decide if they want a region lock or not. and like you can see on this page here the US version does not have a region lock. and like i said it plays fine on my xbox.

and no. List B is not illegal. Index means it is not allowed to promote those games. It is also not allowed to sell them to kids. List B means it can be banned by court (usually Frankfurt and Munich do that). Stores are not allowed to sell them to anyone after a ban by court. But like I said: for your personal usage it is allowed to import them cause of the Schengen agreement. I had to pay duties for my Dead Rising. So they actually saw that I imported a banned game. No problems at all. I also sent them an e-mail if it is allowed to import games with WW2 symbols. And they said 'yes'. Only child pornography is not allowed.

but do what you want. you can play games like doodle jump while I am playing games like Dead Rising 3. and btw all PAL consoles are the same. There is no 'German XBOX'.
