"LIVE Diamond Card" Expires 2008 with a new Annual Fee (credit card required)

For People Getting a blank page:

Check your emails. You should of gotten a confirmation that your account info went thru. I had the same problem.

I can't wait to see the full list of vendors.

I hope I get the card before I cancel Xbox Live next month. I've already used a 2, 3, and 12 month card so hopefully it will go through.

I agree with Brak and valor19 as well. This should be a sticky on this board. All that's going to happen in the deals board is other deals will knock the live diamond card topic off the front page and then the topic will be lost in the sauce.

I merged the thread that was in here into the one in the Deals forum, and then stuck it.
I assume this works if I only have Live on the 360. I signed up anyways, thanks!
According to the info that I copied & pasted from VidguyMS (MGS/Xbox Community Team):

free to all paid US Xbox Live subscribers who have already subscribed or pre-paid for at least 12 months on either the original Xbox® or Xbox 360.

So, I'm guessing as long as your an original Xbox owner with a current currently updated gamer tag & 12 month LIVE subscripition you can get the card.

I signed up earlier today, made it all the way through the registration process, but didn't get an email (not even in my Spam folder). Let's try it again after this.

I'm also kinda interested in why this program is being tied to Xbox Live (and why not just the Xbox brand in general), why Diamond instead of say Platinum, and what else we might expect out of Passport Lifestyles. Good to see some usuable benefits from Microsoft hoarding all our information.

UPDATE: Yep, it says the GamerTag's already been registered, and I definitely didn't get n email.

I wish that they had a longer list of vendors to show us.

I am hoping for a blockbuster deal, just because it is around the corner from me, and Hollywood Video is about 10 miles away.

This is cool. Signed up today. Thanks OP.
I wish that they had a longer list of vendors to show us.
same here, we wont be able to take full advantage of it if we arent given a full list of stores,
but I do like this program, who doesnt like getting deals on stuff just for playing videogames?

Under the "Questions, contact us" link on the sneak peak vendor page it says:

**When can I start using my Xbox Diamond card?**

You can begin taking advantage of the offers available to you as a member of the Xbox Live Diamond program when you receive your Diamond card in the mail. Once you receive your card, logon at www.xboxlivediamond.com to view the full list of offers and retailers.

There are those few vendors shown on the sneak peak vendor page http://www.xboxlivediamond.com/retailers.htm

And more are mentioned, but not shown under "Details" on the overview link page:

The Details

Who's partnering with Xbox Live to bring you special Diamond card offers? How about Ticketmaster, Cambridge Soundworks, Timberland, McDonald's, and hundreds more? Thought that would get your attention.

9 vendors so far:

Ticketmaster, Hollywoood Video, Sam Goody, Carl's Jr, Quiznos Sub, McDonald's, Timberland, Etnies, Cambridge Soundworks...........

I signed up the other day. Now all we need is a Rewards credit card that gives you Marketplace Points!!

It told me 6-8 weeks.

What if I cancel my subscription in that timeframe?

Also, the name I used isn't the same as the name on the credit card I signed up under :whistle2:/

I signed up for the card 1st day it was available, but ive been on the 3month card, not 12.... i bought a 12 mont +1 month card a week ago, hopefully itll reflect on my account and they send me the card on its first shipment and not at all.
I thought this was coming out in Jan...

Anywho any one know when this card is going to be shipped?
it said 6 - 8 wks when I signed up in mid/late december.

I signed up the week they started taking signups (probably on the first day)... don't really remember exactly when that was though.. possibly early December.

I haven't heard anything since.

I signed up last week, but it was before I figured out that you needed to be a 12 month subscriber. Today I got a 12 month pack; will there be any problems getitng my diamond card since I signed up when I had a 1 month trial?

Hope this helps:

Thank you for your email and interest in the Xbox Live Diamond program.

Cards will begin printing in January 2006, so if you registered in
December 2005, please be aware that it will take 6-8 weeks to receive
your card. Otherwise, please expect 4-6 weeks to receive your card.

With the first batch of cards, they should start receiving their cards
end of Feb, beginning of March. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please feel free to let me know if I can be of further assistance, and
thank you for your patience.

Kind Regards,

Tanya Molitor

They could be waiting for promotional reasons. For example when these first came out 2 months ago, more closer launch, I'm sure MS was expecting the X360 to penetrate the market, and to catch on more quickly than it has, but then they had the shortage, and alot of people are still waiting. So, they might be holding back waiting somewhat for the X360 to really hit the market more main stream & to get more sponsors involved before launching this promo.

Or, hell, maybe their idiots & just slow getting anything out like the X360 itself.

just received this today. Im glad its on its way
