Looking for a deal for a 500GB HD for my PS3

Does anyone if its possible to purchase a 500GB PS3 HD for $40? I'm also looking for a Blu-Ray driver, I think mine is dying one me. Any suggestions? I've tried Ebay but I always lose the bid because the HD ends up being up to $60 on ebay.

If you're lucky, you can find an external 500 gb WD usb HD on clearance for 18. I picked one up last week, took it apart and dropped the drive into my laptop.

Amazon has a 500 GB for $55. I just bought 2, one to put in my 60 GB and one to put in my 120 GB. Reviews on Amazon say it works great in the PS3. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JSSDGU
