Looking for a good Digital Camera and Advice

Alright, one of the big things I need is a camera that works well for Concort pictures, and other low light situtations. I'll also be using it for every day shooting. I'm just starting to get my feet wet in more serious photography so I'm not looking for anything too expensive right now. While I might get a DSLR later down the road for now I'm just looking for something easy to use. I'm looking to spend around $300 or less.

The camera I'm currently looking at is a Casio EX-FH25:

It seems to be able to do what I need. However are there any better options for around this price that I should consider?

Thanks

Spend an extra $50 and get this:

Has a fast f2.0 lens, image stabilization, backlit sensor, good high-ISO performance, hd video, and a nice zoom. Just pre-ordered one myself (B&H says it should be out end of May or early June). I do a lot of concert photography too but don't like hauling my dslr gear to every show I go to, so this will be perfect for me.

Thanks, looks like an amazing camera. My only concern is that I might not get it in time for the next show I'm going to. I'll wait for any other suggestions, but I might go with that and take a chance..

You should take a look at the Canon SX210is. I just bought yesterday and its a amazing camera. This one is on sale at many places for $329 and its a 14x optical zoom/14.1 mega pixels. It also records video in hd 720p and has a hdmi output. Another thing that its one of the few compact cameras that can zoom while recording video.

Read the reviews on this site. Very good and reliable info. The lower the aperture # listed the better it will be in low light. As mentioned earlier the f2.0 would be pretty fast. That combined with a higher iso # will do better in low light. The aperture # refers to how wide open the lens goes. Wider ='s more light lt in to the camera's sensor. Look through the reviews and see what you like. There are good choices between $300-$500 and higher.
