I just purchased my wife a new Dell last week, and was planning on using her existing video card...until I realized the new PC won't have an AGP port. So now I need a good PCI Express card. I don't want bleeding edge; what I'm looking for is pretty much the best bang-for-the-buck. The only game she really plays on it is WoW, so as long as it runs that pretty well then she's happy. I'm out of the loop on video cards, so any advice is appreciated. :)

Definitely not bad for the price

I'm a big fan of the XFX cards. I've never had a problem with one before, and they're fairly versitle yet price friendly from my experience. You should be able to play anything out there with it, including FEAR

What kind of performance difference is there between the 7600gs and this 6600gt? Is it worth the $50 more - again, keeping in mind she will ONLY be playing WoW. ;)
The 7600gs has 12pipes over 8pipes on the 6600gt. You will get a few more fps out of the 7600 and you can get Tomb Raider free with this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150146 if that is worth anything to ya.
Can't really argue with free, can ya? ;) That works, thanks - I was looking to stay in the $130 range, since I did just drop the cash on a new pc. I think she'll be very pleased with this - thanks for the suggestions everyone. :)

I bought this card. It used to come with a $15 rebate but it expired now (I think). But it still comes with a free copy of Age of Empires III, its retail box and there is no rebate hassle. I sold my copy on ebay for around $30 further reducing the cost of the card:

EVGA 7600GT 179.99 plus shipping

They also have the GS version also with a FREE AoE III:

EVGA 7600GS $129.95 plus shipping (sell the game and your cost is around $105 bucks)

Note you have to select the free game from the pull down menus.
i have a spare 6600GT PCI-Express. $50 dollars shipped.

No joke or scam. PM me.
Any more info? I may be interested.

I'll buy it off you if you don't have an takers. My Radeon X600 died and I got nothing right now. I can only use my work computer lol. PM me.

Thanks. I was thinking about getting it for when I build a new computer since the one I have now doesn't support PCI-E. But I have no idea when I'll get around to that, so you might as well sell to someone else who can actually put it to use right now. Good price though.
