Looking for a media storage cabinet

Scorpius

CAGiversary!
So, I've been looking for a while trying to find a good media storage cabinet to store all my DVDs/blus. Right now, I've got around 500 and my collection keeps growing. I can't seem to find any quality ones(i.e. hardwood design rather than pressboard) alot of the reviews that I've read have mentioned the shelves not holding up well or the cabinet itself starting to lean and needing to be mounted on the wall, just wondering if anyone has a good suggestion? Thanks!

There's a media cabinet from a company called Init that's clearanced at Best Buy for around $20-25. But it IS pressboard, which is exactly what you're NOT looking for.

But for that kind of price, I'd view it as disposable. I picked up one myself after I had them do a store transfer order for me from a much further off store that had it.

The sku for it is 9248655, if I remember correctly.

Bo Concept ones hold 32 dvds per shelf, but you can go two-deep with room to spare. Can-Am ones look very appealing, but will be difficult with non-standard cases. On the Botlz, forget using the little slider and use boxsets as bookends.

Well, I haven't really figured that out yet, depends on quality of the cabinet, but trying to stay below $500.

If I had that many DVDs; I'd just haunt estate sales and craigslist for bookshelves--local is also your best shot for finding a non-particle board shelf at a low price.

Depending on how good your carpentry skills are you can always build one, raw materials for a bookcase are alot less than what it would cost from a retailer, thrift store may have some cheap ones

however like indigo said, best bet is probably yardsales / newspaper free for pickup

Thanks for the suggestions all, I found some at GamesExchange, got 2 4x8 metal racks with 15 or 16 shelves, works and looks great! (and WAY cheaper than anything else I'd seen)
