Looking for a PCI (not -E) video card

CAGiversary!
I'm upgrading a Dell desktop that doesn't have AGP or PCI-e slots. Any recommendations for PCI video cards? I'm looking at the Radeon 9250 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814103167 and Radeon X1300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814103016 , both with 256MB RAM.

Obviously, I'm dealing with a gimped system, it's a P4 2.8Ghz, 512 RAM (going to upgrade this, too), and I don't want to replace the motherboard. Is the X1300 the best I can hope for? Even though it's PCI, how does it compare to older cards like the 9800 and 9600?

The X1300 does have SM3... but with that card, I doubt you'll be able to make any good use out of it.

I honestly don't think the X1300 will give you much of a boost over the 9250, their numbers are very similar. I think the X1300's only advantages would be in terms of better quality video playback. I'd go with the 9250.

Basically, both cards are bottom of the barrel type of affair. They weren't mean to play games, just to display basic visuals and maybe run some older games at the lowest quality.
