I had original versions of the first two games (Prophecies and Factions), but never picked up Nightfall. My roommates picked up Trilogy from the steam sale, and their playing it has made me want to get back into the game myself.
I am frustrated, however, that retail copies of the game are hard to come by (and are generally still quite expensive - or used with no key), and digital copies are priced the same as the entire trilogy pack - $30! I probably don't need to explain why buying the trilogy for $30 isn't optimal, and buying the one expansion I want for the same cost as the trilogy isn't optimal either.
While I've petitioned ArenaNet to lower the price of the game (in what I'm sure is a wasted effort), I'd like to know if any of you have better solutions in mind. I'd be willing to pay $15 for the game - half the cost of the trilogy pack, which is more than a fair deal for the publisher, I suppose - but other prices would be considered.
