Madden white outline around the players?? [use Madden thread]

Ok well here is the problem. When I play certain games for example grand theft auto 4, nba 2k8, and madden 08 and 09 to name a few. I can see a white outline around the players. Why is that??? What do you think the problem is the cable? The hdmi port? The tv set? or the xbox 360. Does anyone else have this problem??

Here are examples below. I was told that its just EA's player models rim lighting and its normal. Anyone care to elaborate.

so its pretty much normal then right its suppose to be there???? Because its extremely noticeable.

Yeah, notice that it's mainly used on skin textures. This is to aid the 3D visuals, and help the players from having such a "flat" look. After all, you're playing the game on a flat screen. They have to give the illusion of a three dimensional world somehow.
