woah... i signed up for Rolling stone magazine right when i joined this site, and i was sent a message saying the offer expired, and yesterday i got an issue of Rolling Stone in the mail

actually, you will start receiving 2 (and after you receive your 2 mags in one month) you just call customer service and tell them you signed up for another year through a website (they will check your account and see that you ARE receiving 2 mags) tell them instead of getting 2 each month, you want to add a year to your existing account. That is what happened to me with XBN when I clicked on that same link and signed up over 2 months ago.
 
Well I've signed for countless free mag subscriptions, and all of them have added to my subs, extending them to 2010 and whatnot. It should extend your sub if you used the same info as before. If not, call customer service and have them transfer it over.

One of these days ill be getting a boatload of mags in the mail. Going to have a backlog of reading to do.

It depends on the magazine too. I know I have most of these mags until 2007 and most offers just add on since it is automated. I had one cancel on me because I submitted another free offer months later but I called customer service and they fixed it. All in all, I would never complain even if I didn't get an issue.
 
I guess I'll just have to wait and see what EGM does.

On another note I went pretty far back through the posts and couldn't find any valid offers for some magazines I'm interested in. If someone could post offers for Maxim, GamePro, Tips & Tricks, PSM, PC Gamer, PC World, and Maximum PC I'd appreciate it. I'm also interested in Macintosh magazines.

I also wanted to know if the free subscription for Computer Gaming World came with the CD or not?
 
None of the free mags come with CDs, unfortunately. Still, free is free. :D

I haven't seen any free subscriptions for the magazine "Wizard" It covers comic books and stuff like that. I have searched my self and found nothing. Im starting to think there isn't a free subscription. :(
 
Hey guys, I have 2 free subscriptions applications of Game Developer magazine I can send to 2 friends. I'd like to give them to 2 of you guys. Just send me a PM with your name, a title(whatever you want it to be, as long as it has to do with games), and your e-mail and I'll fill your info in it and you should get an e-mail in a day or so allowing you to sign up for a free subscription.

The only way I know of that I got the free subscription is by signing up for www.gamasutra.com, which was free. I just got an e-mail one day and it lead to the GD website, so I signed up and I've gotten 3 or 4 issues and they ask you to renew for free by answering questions.

I signed two months ago too for the 4 years subs for both and I just starting getting stuff. Just check the magazine database to make sure you are in it. Then send customer service an email about missing issues. That usually fixes it.
 
Pardon me if this is a dumb question or has been asked umpteen times, but how can one check a magazine database to see if they're in it?
 
I would try it but I hate answering something like 50 questions from freebizmag.com, and I don't think I ever received anything (DVD or Magazine) from them ever.

Freebiz is ok . . . the DVDs are only given out to the first 100 who respond . . . good luck. I've gotten many, many mags from them. Tips and Tricks and XBN and EGM. Many for my wife.
 
Yeah, the only thing they ever give are the magazines. None of the DVD's ever. I signed up to DVD's like Mystic River, Kill Bill Vol. 2... but yeah, they do say that only the first 150 people DO get them.
 
I'm curious if anyone has ever gotten a DVD from Freebizmag. Chances are someone here would have eventually signed up in time...
