To all of those who are skeptical about how this all works, let me tell you LAST WEEK I signed up for about 45 different magazines, and I got my first one in the mail TODAY

Men's Lifestyle magazine was at my door when I got home today

Thanks for all the wonderful links guys and gals! Keep posting!!!

every time someone bumps this thread without actually posting a free magazine deal, a little kid gets run over by a train....

ps: the kid that is getting ran over right now, by me bumping this thread without posting a free magazine deal, is fully aware of why he is getting run over right now....he sacrificed himself in hopes of saving other little children...please don't let his death mean nothing...

My first post here and it's a great value!

Game Developer

www.gdmag.com/freeyear

Came with an insert in my new issue, it's a $71.40 value. You just have to answer some questions and answer them to the best of your knowledge. Great mag for the aspiring game designer/programmer.
Just bumping this up since it'll be active for a while.
Bumping it again since it's still free.
Bump.

I started getting my USA Today recently, thanks guys. Anyone know if i'm gonna have to cancel in a year or if the subscription will just die on its own? Thanks.

still no word from Maxim, Stuff (3-4 months ago) or TV Guide. Guess I'm not getting them =P oh well, they were for free... not like I lost money

^^^What is this Penthouse you speak of??
I had got a free subscription to Penthouse from here or someother free mag site about 6 months. Its the gift that keeps on giving. :D
And you've bragged about it endlessly

*offensive*
At least you didn't say its the gift that keeps on coming....

Maxim and Stuff took the longest for me, I got all of the other magazines before those. One day I just went to the post office and there were 3 issues of each, and another one the next week.

I got my first TV Guide two weeks ago (i got three so far). I'm guessing it was expired before you signed up.

I still suggest calling TG's customer service and seeing if they have your account:

Seems like such a hassle to call, too lazy =P
Guess I'l just wait it out. If I'll get it, I'll get it... yea...

TV Guide is so worthless if you have digital cable or directv . . . the on screen guide is so effective . . . I'm getting TV Guide from the offer (for about a month) but it is not a big deal.

Plus http://tv.yahoo.com is free and decent.

or www.tvguide.com is free, as well.

Sounds like someone at the post office had forgot to give them back to you...

I've been getting TVGuide for almost a year for free; I really get nothing out of it. I briefly skim through the articles, and occasionally do the crossword, but as a tv, er, guide, it's pretty much worthless. The onscreen EPG is much much easier to use.
I got 3 issues of USAToday last week, and none today. Delivery seems to be intermittent, at least down here.
I won't complain too hard, since it's free.

I also got a bill for the USA Today Subscription, I don't really know whats going on but I suppose I should just call them and cancel it or something, does any one know whats up with this?

Thanks,
Justin

Go back a few pages. Somewhere there are links to customer service pages. You can tell them about a missing issue, change your adress, etc.

For the USA Today, I'd advise contacting them, and telling them where you signed up for the free order. I did this with EGM and CGW, and they dropped the charges.

A bill?

Well, there's not much they can do if they don't have your credit card number. If they continue to send you bill notices, just call them up or write them on the bill that you got the free magazines through MagCentral or wherever.

When I was getting the free 13 week sub to USA Today they started sending me reminder notices to extend my subscription. After my 13 weeks was up they started slowing down and have since stopped. Look at the "bill" and see if it isn't a reminder notice to extend your subscription.

...Lately I've gotten LOTS of bills for magazines I got off from here, dammit.

What happens if I keep ignoring the bills? EGM had sent me like 7 letters already.

Write on one of them . . . "thanks for the free trial, but I'm not interested in continuing" and mail it back like a payment. That will stop them cold.

Yes, you shouldn't be receiving bills, as no one else is. Perhaps you signed up for an offer that was "risk-free", rather than completely free, because I've signed up for TONS of mags, and not a single bill.

Yeah, don't be afarid when they send those big fat yelow notices "ATTENTION! YOU HAVE ONLY 11 ISSUES LEFT! RENEW NOW!"

Hell, PSM sends me issues even though my free sub expired. "Don't forget how great we are! Renew NOW!" heh
