Whew, that's a lot of titles.

Otogi is excellent definitely worth that price. The game is pretty hard though so if you like your games nice & easy then its definitely not for you

I think there are a few highlights for hard to find titles too. I picked up DeathRow wih got high marks from gamespot. I hadn't even heard of it before. Also, Shenmue too can be hard to find. I haven't seen it at EB online in awhile. But I passed since I never played the first.

Also, if you lick out and get the GotY edition with expansions pictured for Morrowind that's a great deal.

Somebody else can do the Gamecube and Playstation deals. I'm trying to figure out the economic question I'm going to ask Allan Sloan for his noon time chat at Newsweek.

Thanks Admiral! Got an XBox for Christmas, so it's about time I had something to play on it besides Top Spin and Halo 2 :D Just picked up Brute Force and Breakdown for less than $15 shipped, so now I've got something to entertain myself for a while.
great list, $288.00 can get you pretty good xbox collection these days, thanks Admiral
With CAG, I've bought my entire Xbox collection (50+ games) for under $500, including the console. Check my sig.

This is just getting to be a habit. I have to stop spending my cash. Every other day I find some deal to jump on to get cheap games. I will never be able to play all of these cheap ass games.

This doesn't work for Gamecube -- the only (non-sports-franchise games) available from EB for $9.75 and under that rated higher than a 70 from Metacritic are

Scored 90+
Eternal Darkness
THPS4
THPS3

Scored 80+
F-Zero
Aggressive Inline
SSX Tricky
007 Nightfire
Kelly Slater Pro Surfer
Wave Race: Blue Storm

Scored 70+
Baldur's Gate
Smuggler's Run
Sphinx & the Cursed Mummy
Mirra BMX 2
Dead to Rights
Bloody Roar
007 Agent Under Fire
Robotech: Battlecry/CE
Rocky
XIII
Swingerz Golf
F1 2002
Spy Hunter
Batman Vengeance
Hoffman BMX 2
Turok

Take out sports titles and that's

Eternal Darkness
F-Zero
007 Nightfire
Baldur's Gate
Smuggler's Run
Sphinx & the Cursed Mummy
Dead to Rights
Bloody Roar
007 Agent Under Fire
Robotech: Battlecry/CE
XIII
Spy Hunter
Batman Vengeance
Turok

Not a great list.
Thanks.

As a new XBox owner looking to build a collection, this helps.

Is Sega GT/JSGR worth the $5?
I'd say it is. JSRF is stylish and fun to play. Sega GT is a decent racing sim, but no Gran Turismo. The career mode offers a good amount of depth.

Thanks for the great post Ackbar

Finally got me off my ass to use a $20 gift voucher I've had burning a hole in my pocket for over a month.

Picked up

Dreamcast Controller 1st Party - Pre-Played DC
Quantum Redshift - Pre-Played XBX
Robotech: Battlecry - Pre-Played XBX
Multitap 1st Party - Pre-Played PS
Deathrow - Pre-Played XBX

All for $0.80 after coupons (don't have an edge card or it would have been free).

Been wanting Death Row for quite a while now so I had fun filling out the rest of the cart to bring the total to just over $20.

Lina - I'd pick it up at that price for sure. I loved JSRF, didn't get into Sega GT 2002 much, but I'd still get the double back just so you have the option.
Does anybody ever do that Special Reward when they check out?
I did it twice, got 2 $10 gift certificates and never had a problem.
What special reward? You mean the customer service survey?

If you actually get something instead of being a bonus gimmic I may start doing it. Considering how much I buy stuff from there.

Is there any way to tell if the games are complete and/or in good condition when ordering from the website? I see quite a few titles that I'd like to purchase when I get some cash, but I can't stand to see a scratched up game or case in my collection.
Just bought The Thing, let the four letter words rain down.
Why four-letter words? Because the game is hard to find, or because the game is so bad that it's best described in four-letter words?

EB promises complete. Good condition, though ... I got a Zelda Collector's with a serious scratch that I was able to get swapped out, although the new copy wasn't perfect. I got a mint Harry Potter & the Sorceror's Stone, a nm Prince of Persia, a nm Beyond Good & Evil and a good Viewtiful Joe 2 that I eventually returned (because the price drop was about to happen). You can return stuff to your local EB if you're unhappy with it (or, really, any reason); that policy is right on their website. You're almost certainly going to want some blank cases to transfer stuff into, though, as their stickering and stamping does some damage. My BG&E art has a permanent impression from where it had been stickered.

They give you a $10 off next purchase code to use online at EB. I got Katamari Damacy for $10 with it.

You mean the thing that says "take a free survey and get a $10 coupon"?

I did that and they started charging stuff to my credit card. I never even inputted my CC number - it was forwarded to them through EBGames. I had to call the company (some place called "reservation rewards" or something) and cancel so they'd reverse the charges.

Might be worth it if you're willing to stay on top of it and cancel the moment you see a charge on your CC, but I'm wary of it now. I never got my $10 gift certificate to use at EB and just had to waste time calling this place.

HEh, what do they do. CHarge you ten bucks and then give you a ten dollar credit :)

Awesome, awesome list. If I didn't need to save money for this summer (to buy books and cd's, going to live with my uncle) and hadn't just bought a DDR pad/ Exhibiton Vol 2 I would jump on a LOT of those.

Am I the only one who can't see the list? Otogi's the only game that shows up in the post for me.

It sounds like a great deal, so thanks for the list, Ackbar.

Because while playing the game the characters like to say a lot of four letter words that you aren't suppose to say around children. That makes this game extremely not for the little ones.

That's because... It's a trap!

Seriously though if Ackbar's post doesn't work for you for some odd reason (seems really weird??)

Go to ebgames.com Choose Xbox from the preplayed drop down list on the top bar. Sort by price. There are some crap and old sports games to wade through, but it's almost as good as Ackbar's list. If that doesn't work for you, you should get a new browser.

It sounds like a firewall problem. If he;s reading the links from wworks it's probably bliockign all the links from Ebgames.com. SO he'll only see "X's" for the pictures.

The reason the last one still shows is that it doesn't go to ebgames so it wouldn't be blocked as a gaming site.... :p
dammmm i wanted otogi for cheap
phantom crash any good?
crimson seas and original buffy may be worth it
Can't speak for Phantom Crash - Did see not so good reviews for Crimson Seas

As for original Buffy, I'm playing that now - picked it up at 90% off TRU sale for $3 and it's great - has all the original voices except for Sarah Michelle Geller's.

Fun game, kinda fills the void now that the show and its spinoffs are gone.

Just wanted to add one more to your list.
Gunvalkyrie - this game is apparently crazy hard, but for ~$3.50, it is worth it:
GunValkyrie

Just bought Shadow Hearts:Covenant ($20) and added that to get free shipping, since it came out to be cheaper in the end.

Nice update Ack. Might order a couple more things now... I have another $20 code I need to use, but don't know if I have a full $20 of addtional stuff I want. Tough problem to have huh ;)

Question: where does one find this customer service survey? I'm about to order Gunvalkerye (never heard of it before, but come on....$4.05 shipped?? How can the cheap-ass gamer in me say no  ), so I'd like to make sure I don't miss out on a gift certificate. Thanks!

I placed an order for three games and the digh def pack yesterday before noon and it arrived today before one via fed-ex. Now that's fast service!

The condition of the cases aren't the best but the game discs look pristine.

Gun Valkyrie at that price is a steal.

Phantom Crash is decent, a bit repetitive, but I say buy it for the massive J-Pop soundtrack.

You should see it after you place your order. I tried it once but I never got my $10 GC :(
