Maple Story headed to DS!

In what has to be my favorite news story since all the E3 buzz, Korea IT News is reporting that Nexon, the team behind Maple Story, will be bringing a game to the Nintendo DS.

“We interested in characteristics and strategy of contents of Nintendo and decided to develop games for it, and we agreed on a large part of the plan with Nintendo.” - David Lee CEO of Nexon Japan

The best news is that it appears Nexon is bringing none other then Maple Story itself to the DS. Maple Story is an MMORPG, which would make it the first MMORPG to head to the DS. It should be very interesting to see what happens with this project, especially since I am a huge Maple Story fan!

God this would be awesome if it were to happen.

This was actually in a magazine months ago.. it would be pretty interesting seeing it was fun on the PC but I hated using the keyboard to play it..

Looking forward to any new announcements on this

Yea, but then you will have to play this near a wifi connection to play at all, making it an online only game.

Now handheld owners will get the opportunity to get insulted and KSed on-the-go!

All kidding aside, I think the game would work marvelously on the DS if they made zones private or invite only and you could hang out in town with your friends. It's the people you dont know that ruin the experience imo.

Gunbound is another game I always wished would head to a handheld or to 360 arcade.
