Marcus PSP Commercial

It's no Kevin Butler, but it's also no "All I want for XMas is a PSP"

i feel like the PSP itself never had commercials that really stood out to me. the games get better commercials
I don't mind Marcus, but I don't feel like a little kid should be advertising mature games
the guys is older than he looks not sure how old but i reckon he could be from the tribe of keebler. that said hes an annoying little shit and im surprised theyd use him to sell psp/psp games especially with that fight video they had of him a year or so ago. plus nothing short of a decent price drop or amazing games is going to move psps.

I'm a tad annoyed by these commercials as well. I don't know what it is. Mind you, I would never spend $200 or so on a fuckin' handheld game system, so this just cemented it.

Kevin Butler is funny. Marcus... just comes off as something created by some corporation as a "cool" kid to advertise their stuff.

Seems like it's too little too late, especially since it seems the entire thing is taking shots at Apple with the comments about the PSP having "real" games.

I do think the kid is funny, but it doesn't change the fact that the psp is crap. I'm keeping it for Birth By Sleep & 3rd Birthday and that's about it.

I know that hiring that kid is Sony's attempt at being "hip with the kids," but i don't know. Would I really want to hear kids like Marcus yelling at you while playing online multiplayer?

I don't think it's crappy. But how can I argue against the "facts"

its good if you have ps1 classics youd like to play on the go but yeah i have to admit theres only a few games id actually want to buy made specifically for the psp.
PSPs have been moving just fine, it's the software they are trying to push right now.
but they're dead last in sales on a weekly basis. how is that any good?

but for some reason they are decent in japan. don't know what kind of crazy porn they got there for the machine.

The DS dominates, there's no question about that. But the PSP has sold a very respectable amount around the world, not only from a business standpoint but also considering it's competing with Nintendo.

Last in sales doesn't mean it's not selling. I'm not saying it's thriving over here but those bundles still see good numbers. Japan, more importantly, is where it sees most of its success. It's a commuter country so handhelds are much more popular than home consoles, and the PSP has been on top over there, as you've said.

They got their Monster Hunters and Phantasy Stars or whatever. The West only buys Final Fantasy, God of War, GTA and maybe some mediocre Need for Speed or NBA games =D

Peace Walker sold like trash over here :whistle2:#

Considering a few of the weird arcade machines I've seen in various articles that are out in Japan, I have to imagine that there's quite a bit of weird titles over there as well.

For example, in the one article about weird games I saw an arcade machine that is designed to look like someone bent over with their pants down and the 'controller' peripheral you use during the game is supposed to be a gloved hand with one finger stuck out. :whistle2:#

That's right. Japan has a proctological exam video game. So nothing that the US could produce could ever be weirder than that imo.
