Popular comic book site Newsarama has posted an interview with Marvel creator Greg Pak in which he explains that he is working on a comic book / game crossover with Electronic Arts, entitled Marvel Nemesis: The Imperfects.

The project, which will be a comic book that leads into a game to be developed and published by EA, is under production at Marvel right now. Pak explains, "...it???s a super cool crossover miniseries which throws a team of classic Marvel characters against a team of brand new superheroes created by the brilliant folks at EA." Those interested in more details are invited to read the article.

When contacted for comment, an EA spokesperson offered this response:

"It is public knowledge that we are working on a game and comic book with Marvel. The information [in the interview] is geared towards the comic book. Stay tuned for more game-specific information in the coming months."

It seems likely that this is the project formerly known as "EA vs. Marvel" that has been rumored for some time. No platforms or release date -- or even official title for the game -- are yet known. Stay tuned.

EA superheroes are rumored to include The CEO, The Abused Worker, and The Huge-Ass-Ruthless-Corporation. Guest appearance by John Madden.

I'll give 10 days until Sega Sports/Take Two announces a crossover with DC. And then another 5 days until EA annouces that that they have exclusivity over all comics in videogames, and that Take Two/DC must cease and desist.
