Bought AC:R last week and went in this week to get my $10 back, and a CS rep told me that the coupon was not valid on sale-price, only on manufacturers MSRP. I told her that I thought she was wrong, as I had did this several times in the past. I asked if they would do a return/ rebuy w/ price adjustment and they wouldn't. After some arguing, they eventually gave it to me, but I was wondering if anyone else had run into this "coupon only applies to MSRP" thing? I was just worried they would run out of stock, but I guess I'll just buy during the sale week from now on...

It says right on the back of the coupon "Markdowns taken from sale prices". Not sure why this is hard for BB employees to grasp, and it irritates the crap out of me. You're definitely in the right. If they wanted it only on full MSRP, they should make it that way. This isn't even a gray area, this is straight up how they want us to use the coupons.

how do you check the status of your magazine? we can see what comes first: the coupons getting leaked early or someone getting their magazine :D

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to process a newly upgraded membership? Since we are right at the end of this month, we're just wondering how long it'll take them to get our first mailed mag to us?

I'm assuming we'll also get a letter or something with our introductory dicount coupons as well.

I signed up on 3/31 and i still haven't received the magazine! I got the introduction packet early this month.

I e-mailed @Gamer last week and they said they mailed the May issue but i still haven't received it. I'm hoping i get it by Saturday so i can get AC for $10.

Ha - figures, I signed up at the end of March, got that issue in store, then didn't get my next issue until May.
Does any CAG have a spare copy of the April mag they'd be willing to send me for a couple bucks (via paypal)? I'm afraid the next time I try to use a coupon on a sale item they'll pull the "only taking off MSRP" thing again, and if I had the April Mag, then I'll have official documentation backing me up. To those that noticed that the issues are only 10/year instead of 12/year, I looked into it and the months that the magazine is bi-monthly are January/February and July/August. This next issue is June so we should all be receiving it soon, but July/August will just be one issue.
 
on the @gamer podcast, they mentioned that there would be a couple days between when the current coupons expire and the next ones go into effect. I think they said June 5th. They did NOT mention what the next coupons will be.
If you find yourself near a Best Buy, you could ask about the June issue. If you get a cool salesperson, they will let you see it if they have them, even if they can't sell them yet (happened for me last month).

Thanks for the heads up on this! Was hoping for a Skyrim coupon though, hopefully it happens soon. SCV and SSX are definite grabs for me though, if they get sub 20 anyway. Also hoping for cheap Resistance 3, I got the dual pack of 1/2 for Christmas and would like to play the whole series one after another.

im really hoping then soul calibur drops to 10 bucks with that coupon.

and the 29.99 it would be nice if my area had any games that were good and worth using at that price. i still have this months 29.99 coupon because there just isnt anything worth it.
 
i was really hoping for a prototype 2 coupon. i know the game is pretty new but i was talking to one of the best buy employees at my local bb and he said that the sales for the game were pretty low that they were expecting a lot more sales on release day. too bad tho. i think the only interesting ones for me are resistance & soul calibur 5. it would be great to find both for 5 bucks each hahaah.

Looks like SSX will finally make it into my collection.
 
After skyrim, I've kind of cooled on the dragonAge games, but my wife is into them, so that'll probably be what we pick up next month. (I will snag the new skyrim dlc whenever they release it though!)

I'll probably call the number posted, to make sure our subscription mailed mag arrives in June. (Better safe than sorry!)

I just picked up two copies of SCV from the GameFly sale, shit. Oh well, I thought it was a decent deal then, so I guess I'm not too upset.

I might be in for the Deadliest Warrior game, without a sale even (I think $30 is the regular price). I was going to say SSX too, but THPSHD comes out next month, so I'll just get that instead.

Someone had mentioned a slight gap between the 2 sets of coupons. Which is fine by me, gives the post office a few more days to get the magazine to me, I'll probably pick up DAII the first day I can.
 
I will personally be watching SSX, Resistance 3, and Soul Caliber V. If they go for cheap I will be sure to go as soon as possible.
 
Did anyone switch to digital subscription yet? And how are you receiving your coupons? Through email? Is it one of those weird coupons where you need a windows pc and have to download a weird program/plugin for your printer? Or is it just a normal printout?

Mainly by big RPG fans. If you don't mind getting a lot of action game in your "RPG", you'll have fun. If not, skip it. I found it much more thrilling, and a quicker pace than origins. Vt I didn't like the story nearly as much, especially the disconnect between games

Just did the same. I had to look through the 3 different places they had the AC:R games, and found 1 copy with AC1. Nice.
