Wow, apologizing for getting cancer .
I met the Beastie Boys on the Check Your Head tour and they were really cool, but MCA was definitely the coolest .
I hope he has a speedy and full recovery .

Yeah, this news sucks. I'm a Beastie Boys fan from way back, and even though I rarely listen to them anymore, I still consider myself a fan. Hell, I posted on their message board for years and met many friends there.

MCA is a humble man who really appreciates his fans, so maybe that's why he felt he should apologize. I hope he gets well soon.
