Mii on Wiimote or via Message Question

I've searched here, Digg and Google. I cannot find an answer to a question that a buddy of mine and I have.

If he has his Mii on his Wiimote and brings it over to my place, or emails me his Wii does his stats, say for Wii Sports transfer too? Or is it just the graphical representation that is saved on the Wiimote?

I believe the stats for the Miis are saved in the game save that's on the original console, not with the Mii itself.

On console, not on wiimote. Tried it the other day. Also, check your Mii parade, they'll transfer on the wiimote too (creeped me out)
