only $3 off list price but also factor in no tax in most areas and free shipping including release day delivery with Prime
not blazin' hot but I have yet to see anyone have this priced less than list for next week (waiting on Best Buy info) and this is not only the best baseball game on the market today but last year's edition was one of the best console videogames of all time in any genre and 09 looks to up the ante in many different areas

Any $5 coupon codes for this? I am going to get it since it absolutely blows the doors off of 2k9 baseball but am hoping to save a few bucks in the process.

Does not help that Amazon raised the price back to $59.99

no coupon unfortunatly and yeah sux that they raised the price to full list but still worth every cent

I already pre-ordered both the PS3 and PSP versions since the PSP version is $10 of MSRP w/ release date delivery too.

If you're in Queens/Brooklyn NY you can get MLB 2K9 and MLB '09: The Show NOW. Just check the local game stores and you'll see it.

Being that there is a Blockbuster,Best Buy,Target, and at least 4 gamestops in my area in queens (and I'm sure no worker would admit to breaking street date over the phone) mind being alittle more specific ? like a name and location ? :D

I played the last year versions and nlb08 was definitely the best. This year i also played demos for both mlbshow 09 and mlb2k9 and 2k9 in my opinion looks way better than last year version. But mlbshow 09 looks really similar to last year version.

This is really not even a competition. MLB 2K9 is a joke/trash compared to The Show.

So like others here, I prefer MLB The Show. And I know this is the "deals" thread, but as long as we are here maybe you can help me out?

I still love sports games, but I find baseball the most frustrating. Pitching is hard enough, but batting? God I suck. Any advice that can make it easier to get a hit, let alone a home run? I played the demo, gave up about 6 or 7 runs, and I didn't get more than 4 singles with NO chance to score. Thoughts?

Honestly? Turn down the difficulty until you get used to it. Change it to the Rookie setting, make your runners auto advance and slide, and turn down the sliders for the CPU AI. I did this for 07 until I got used to it and gradually turned it up as I got better. On Rookie settings, you won't be hitting homers every at bat, but you'll definitely get some bloops go your way and seeing-eye-singles that will get you on the bases. Good luck!

Oh and one more thing.... GO DBACKS!!!! :D

It's actually back to $56.99 today, pre-ordered one with release date delivery. I don't play many sports games but I really enjoyed the demo for this!
