In any case, hopefully it pops back on though if we want Amazon to do it we have to expect Walmart to do it first since Amazon usually just price matches Walmart deals.

I've been around most of the day. Not many others have been on. It looks like the calm before the Black Ops storm. I'm hoping we get a good turn-out Wednesday and Friday.
 
Who's getting Black Ops? I was going to wait until my cousin got it but if enough of the old CAG group I used to play with are playing it...

In for Black Ops....a dedicated server gets my attention....I no longer have to b!tch about having to watch a cam to see how I died.
 
I'm sure everyone was waiting on pins and needles for my decision, but yeah, I'm in for Black Ops.

From an overall cheapness perspective, the amount of time I played MW2 and ignored all of the other games I bought since then + the fun I have playing with a good group + the stuff I learn to actually get better at the game = best overall cost per minute of gameplay/fun ratio. Narrowly beating out Fallout New Vegas and Rock Band 3. That and zambies. Never did play world at war.
 
I'm definitely in for Black Ops. I don't think it'll be prettier than MW2 but it looks to be a different kind of beast. I think the new frustration is going to be in the wager matches and getting enough credits. Where as MW2 moved you along regardless, you're responsible for carrying your own weight.
 
Yeah I'm all in for Black Ops (though I'm not sure how many of you remember me :p). I just got MoH and I'm having a blast in it already. Plus I have the week BO comes out off, so I'll be playing it late/monday/early tuesday thanks to midnight releases.

I miss playing good FPSes.
 
Soo, World at War, $19 on Amazon gold box. Worth it? I've only ever played Cod 4 & MW2. Would this be a good warm up for Black Ops? Are treyarch games vastly different than IW?

I just finished Medal of Honor's single player campaign. I'll definitely blog about this one, sorry for missing out on tonights game night but the campaign is awesome but short.

It's not an MW2 killer in any terms of either SP or MP but the multiplayer could use a lot more polish. It's far better than BFBC2 requiring a whole clip to put somebody down, except there's a shit ton more snipers(I'm one of them!).

Sniping is pretty hard in MOH (at least it was in the beta?) unless you have the suck bolt-action.
 
Last nights games were very laggy for me. I couldnt snipe people who were crouching in the same place, even when they were dead center... and whats with all the damn non-objective players just coming in to camp and raise their kill stats?

And lots more spawn campers than ever.

Well, Kaiser was a no show(I'ma sic my Rottie on jour ass) so it was Jax and I for a good spell. We held our own until Dyeknom popped on, Cheapfrag hopped on shortly after and we curb stomped appreciable amounts of nubs. I ended up going 41 and 6 on Rust in one match which was probably my personal best for Rust.

The last match between Jax, Monkey, Cheap and I, my PS3 froze and I was the host so it dropped everybody, very sad face. I hopped on to find Jax and Cheap out, grabbed Monkey for one last game where I thought we were going to lose rather badly on Skidrow. Turns out we opened a can on a bunch of potheads and their little girlfriend for a good closing match. Great night, even if it started late.

I was more annoyed with the random noobs that were causing us to lose matches, I even yelled at one to get away from me, which he did. We only legitimately lost 1 round in terms of actually being beaten, so I'd say we had a great night.

planned on playing for an hour and it turned into 4. Fun night and that last match was great until the frozen ps3. I think i was 9-0 with an attack helicopter in the air. After 4 years of playing some version of COD I've never played so much team deathmatch. Almost got the hang of it.
 
I thought we played Wed. and Sun. (ignore the thread title) so I missed last night, lame. Looking at Black Ops, I wish they wouldn't have pulled the $20 credit. I would definitely grab it if that was still available.

Yeah.. going 29-6 in TDM did us no good when that one guy on our team was 2-25! I cannot believe we almost lost those matches with him on our team.

Our new game should be Bunch Up On Mad.... but that guy's new game should def. be "Sit in the Corner with a Riot Shield"
 
No, we should try a match where we all have riot shields, except Mad. We run in a pack surrounding him, letting him pick off any enemies we encounter. See how he does with a riot shield escort.

Almost got the hang of it.[/QUOTE]It's hard to get good at TDM, I however look at it like this; I'd much rather go 9 and 3 vs 17 and 15. Even going 7 and 9 isn't bad compared to being like 15 and 17. Those extra deaths can easily mean losing the match, if you look at the end score in some of them we had, we were only behind by like 6 kills. So I'm more than satisfied with your K/D in TDM.

I'd say jump on the Kmart train. I plan on picking up Black Ops for at least $20 off. Granted my buy-in was $120(Enslaved and Castlevania) to get started, I'm ending up with 6 new release games by Tuesday next week for about $33 each plus tax. I may jump in 10 bucks for the faux pre-order box promos just for an extra $15 off 2 games but I feel kinda scammy doing that.

Thinking of doing the KMART Vanquish deal, and picking up Dead Rising 2 for $30 off. Then plan to use the $20 coupon on Black Ops (and save the $20 coupon from Black Ops for something else). Anyone else doing the same (different $30 off game)?

I'm grabbing Halo Reach with Vanquish but I have $45 in coupons already. I wanted Uncharted 2 or Dead Rising 2 but I can't see Dead Rising 2 or Uncharted holding a higher price point than Halo into the holiday season. I'll snag Halo 3 and ODST used simply because I want to finish the Halo story since multiplayer doesn't impress me in the least.

If I buy Fallout I'll have an extra 20 to use on Black Ops or I can just use the extra $15 off coupon on Vanquish. It's hard to justify spending $50 on a game when you can get them at least $20 off. I also haven't seen much buzz for Fallout, there is way too many media blackouts going on.
