My SNES won't work?

Just bought an SNES online and it wont work at all. :cry: I tried a couple YouTube tutorials on fixing it but had no luck. Has anyone bought a used SNES and had it not worked? If so, what solution made it work? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

Buy one of these. Of course don't spend $50 on it ;) (it looked like that had one on there for about $10 plus shipping)

If the system powers up and when you put a game in and it goes pink screen, black screen or nothing at all the contacts are dirty and need cleaned, this is what happened to mine and that's how I managed to fix it.
