Terminator 2, thats a close call though.

Aliens, I liked it better than the first one, especially the directors cut.

The Fantastic Four sequel was slightly less terrible than the first.
Of course that's like saying syphillis is better than herpes.
 
I personally liked Back to the Future a tad bit more than the first, as they actually went to the future in that one. Both excellent though.

And the others listed as well.

Seriously? The first was mildly entertaining, the second made me want to die.

Yeah but once he was in the past he had to hussle like crazy and rig up that nutty lightning rod thing to get "back to the future".

I thought they both stunk out loud. You may be right, this could be a case of low expectations influencing my opinion.

No way. Die Hard 2 is far and away the worst of the series.

All the moves I would point out have already been mentioned, T2, Aliens, X-Men 2
 
AvP: R (Aliens vs. Predator 2) - although that really isn't saying much

All the other movies that quickly come to mind have already been mentioned.

I'm surprised so many people have said Aliens. Granted they are two very different movies and Aliens is a great ass-kicking movie, nothing to me is scarier or more original than Alien.
 
t2 is correct.
die hard 2 is false. thats the worst of the 4 movies. (i do enjoy all of them but the 2nd is weak and way too coincidential.)
x men 2 was better than the first. the 3rd movie was terrible.
rush hour 2 is far better than 1 and 3.
i'll probably catch some heat for this but i thought kill bill volume 2 and clerks 2 were big improvements. i guess kill bill isn't really a sequel though.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is better than the two films that preceded it, though they're great, too.

I also think that From Russia with Love is better than Dr. No.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was probably better to most people than the first two Potter films.

Honestly, i also always liked Last Crusade the best.

Home Alone 2 (i think they all suck now but as a kid 2 was my favorite)

Can't think of any others at the moment. And while im on the topic of "as a kid", i want to note that notice that most of the time, sequels are shown on tv more often. I guess mostly cause of cheaper broadcast rights. So im biased twards alot of sequels simply because of them being on tv more often when i was a child.
 
I'd have to agree with Back to the Future 2; that is not getting anywhere near enough love.

Also, I have insider's knowledge that OMGWTF! Furries II will far surpass the original.
