The company i work for bought everyone tickets to todays Nascar event in Fontana. and this was my first nascar event, and i must say it was badass. Lots of yellow flags and some upsets.

Did anyone else go to the race? or did anyone watch it on tv?

Nascar has lots of hicks, beer, and expensive cars plastered in ads going in circles. I just don't get why people find it entertaining.

well, there were a bunch of rich "Hicks" there, some asian people, and Hispanics.

The beer was expensive, 7 bucks a bottle.

I thought of nascar like you do now, but after today i think of it wayyyy different.

Yep, caught it on TV (I almost never miss a race actually). The end was kind of a letdown given how close it would have been had Harvick not gotten that flat tire. I'm a fan of Gordon but he really was in the way of making that a MUCH closer finish than it was.

Ya I got spoiled by the race last week, I wanted another photo finish. Would have been a totaly different race had Harvick not had gotten that flat.

Yeah, last week was not only the greatest Daytona finish of all time but probably one of the greatest finishes of any race of all time. The one in (I think) '03 or '02 with Ricky Craven and Kurt Busch at Bristol is a close second.

Last weekend though? There was the crash, the closest margin of victory since Nascar instituted electronic scoring, and the whole buildup of the last lap when Harvick came ROCKETING up the outside line. fucking awesome and, it was a great example of why I almost NEVER miss a race (except those fucking road courses, those things are ALWAYS boring).

Its cool OP your work bought you tickets though. If the tickets are free I would go to check it out.

If you want to watch car racing. Watch Rally Racing that shit is insane. 150mph on a single lane, thats unpaved, uneven, curvey, in the mountain in some foreign country. That my friend is racing.

vids ftw.

I watched it. I'm getting tired of them showing that FOX 3D crap. It looks like shit and doesn't show anything that the camera didn't already show. I wonder how much money they wasted coming up with that.
