Did you contact Microsoft and ask them to send you a new one if your existing one is "defective"?

I've been hearing issues all over GS stores about customers having problems with their power bricks, unfortunately the manager I know at my local store reccommends to call M$ for any inquiries of defective products, unless you bought it used from them then take everything to them and they'll swap you out for another one.
