Picked up Going Commando for $10 a few months ago when they had it in their flier. Well worth it a hell of a fun game

the cc in reading, pa across from the birkshire mall has many copies of rs3 with headset and socom with headset anyone near there go check it out
 
Alright, I got socomw/mic, and shellshocknam67 for xbox, and halo map pack. Plus some rechargeable batterys and memory card for my camera.
 
It could be possible that CC is running Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando on sale next week for $9.99, as CC is expecting the buzz for the sale is dying off already so they obviously need to throw in a few games in the ad to keep people interested that are more likely not on clearance themselves.

I'll check and see what is going on today for you folks. :D
 
The ads are usually printed at least 3 weeks in advance so I think it's safe to say this isn't in respsonse to a drop-off in the sale. Since they're runnning the clearance sale through the month they probably just want to remind customers it's still going on. Remember, there are tons of old sports titles we have to pawn off on somebody.:lol: Restocks are a possibility since there may be a few titles floating around in distribution warehouses somewhere. I wouldn't count on any new additions but it's certainly possible as TSD's listing implies. I like your 3rd option of a mistake. I love doing big price adjustments and then watching a manager's eyes bug out of his head the next morning when he's looking over reports.:lol:

I picked-up 2 copies of SOCOM w/headset today [this sale is gonna kill me, I've spent $150.00 & still counting] for $9.96 each. They were not in the bin, and there were many available, too. In fact, most of the games that I've picked-up from this sale have not been in the bin, so it pays to look through the shelves.
 
I price matched Baten Kaitos over at Sears. I paid $8.47 after tax. I don't have a gamecube, but for that price, it is hard to resist an RPG.

Did CC finally correct their computers to the $9.96 price for this title? It was still ringing up $29.96 for me when I went earlier this week.

Could it be there are 2 different UPC's for it? I haven't tried it myself since I thought it was YMMV but I hope it's $9.96 in all stores regardless of UPC's (or any other reason)
 
I went back by the local CC today, and although they hadn't put out any new inventory, I noticed this time that they have at least a dozen Socom/headset bundles. I need a cheap headset for my copy of Lifeline, so I might try the recent BB/McDonald's coupon there to see if they'll take another $5 off the asking price.

its more like advance wars i guess. the game isn't a first/third person shooter at all. the game is all strategy. what makes this game different is that the camera is positioned with your squad at all times. it's not like a typical RTS where the game hovers over the level. you can only see what your squad sees. you control 2 squads (sometimes 3) and you have to do flank manuevers with 1 squad while the other squad gets a better position and kills the enemy. you don't actually aim and shoot enemies in this game. you give the squad orders and they'll follow them like any strategy game. it's very interesting and worth picking up. my main complaint about the game though is that it gets pretty repetitive.

the prices on them were $39.99 & $29.99, but they rang up at $9.96.

Ive noticed since tuesday, they picked some games off the shelves and they were on a cart. Well most were ps2, I saw some socoms and mafias there. Possibly going to a bin.
 
CONFIRMED:

Ratched & Clank is just a one week sale at $9.99 starting this Sunday. And there are NO new titles being added to the sale, as we (CC employees) would of found out at least by now as corp was pretty nice this year in giving us a week to prepare for the clearance sale.

Gotta go back to work in a few, but thought I'd post this ASAP for all you CAGers.
 
I bought Baten Kaitos awhile ago for $50 and traded it in...I regret paying $50 for it, but I also regret trading it in, because it was really a pretty good game. Unfortunately, my Circuit City is out of stock, so I'll just have to wait until it gets marked down from $30.

$10 for F-Zero GX is a killer deal. I paid $50 for that and don't regret it a bit. It's one of the best game's on the cube, pity it didn't sell more.
 
Thanks for the confirmation of the sale DemomanTNA. Although it is a slight bummer that new titles are not being added, it will give my cheap ass some time to play the games I now own.

I noticed that some of the 49.99 stickers have scared off people who are not hip to the sale. I am thinkin' about grabbing Monster Rancher 3 PS2 and Chronicles of Riddick for Xbox. I confirmed the sku is the on the list by the OP but the sticker says 49.99 for each title.

I went to buy Eternal Darkness the other day $9.99 and it rang up at 1.99! I was like holy shit. First time I ever bought a sealed game that cheap for a console. (PC is a different story)

Gas prices just went up so I won't be going anywhere except to work. Leaves me time to read CAG threads and post up on some much needed polygon pushing.

Update: Forgot to add that CC had Sipheed for 1.99 too. Grabbed the last one but they had a couple Eternal Darkness left.

I did stop at another CC to pick up SVC Chaos for a CAG who asked for it and found a copy of Silent Scope Complete for Xbox for $1.99. :shock:

Hit the last CC I hadn't been to, as it was in the process of moving. Which was a huge bust, since they didn't have anything at all, since I thought it was a packed-up goldmine. Such was not the case.

I consider this sale dead as far as I'm concerned.
 
yesterday i picked up the last copy of rumble roses and a rainbow six 3 w/ headset. Pretty good deal both games for 22.96 Btw any cags in the orlando area there are still like 3 of socom and rainbow six 3 bundles. I figured I would leave some for my cags. Let's hope some asshat doesn't buy them all and try to sell them on ebay or something. Oh yea I'm wondering if I should keep rumble roses (which got mediocre reviews) or exchange it for project snowblind which I heard was pretty good. Anyone have an opinion?
 
Went back to the CC on Two Notch (Columbia, SC). They still had large selection there. Though most the titles people are looking for are gone.

Really? Man, i passed up on Silpheed because it was in a seperate bin but i thought they were still full priced... anything else $1.99? Maybe i'll head back to CC after all.

Stopped by my Circuit City, picked up WWE Day of Reckoning ( they still had 2 more copies) and Wolverine X2 for GBA ( which was priced at $1.99 - so I picked up the 2 remaining copies)

Oh, the Circuitcity is the one in Lewisville, TX.....They had tons of Gungrave: Overdoses and Hitman Contracts ( I think like 50 copies) and SRS: Racing, and tons of the older sports games (2004)..... that's all I can remember. they had lots of other games but none that interested me.

Actually I was turned off by the point and click strategy style of FSW when it was announced. But I gave it a try and absolutely loved it. It's more of a thinking man's game rather than run and gun. There's no real need for another FPS war game like MoH and CoD. FSW is actually a fresh air in the swarm of war games that came out recently.
 
I picked up FSW for $5 on Target clearance and so far it's been one of the best under $15 games I've bought for PC. I remember the hype around the Xbox version when it came out.

My Circuit City didn't even bother putting a bin out. Employees weren't aware anything was going on. Some games like Amplitude were mostly stickered down to $9.99 but those were the shelf copies. The large number of games in the "usually cheap" box (many of which were part of the sale) were untouched. Other games like Ham Ham (GBA) were left on the shelves without so much as any price tag.

So one was lucky to find any of the games on the sale, let alone $1.99 bargains or local-only additions (of which there seemed to be none). I like Incog's games so I got Downhill Domination for $9.99, which isn't a great price. I tried to pricematch with the Best Buy coupon but the guy claimed he would get fired because "it's 50% off." I guess that's compelling until you consider we're talking $5. He said that they couldn't PM coupons, but he'd be willing to if I bought a game that was $19 or more. How that's not just adding restrictions to the coupon is beyond me. I bought the game anyway, hardly in the mood to wrangle legalese over a sale they were only grudgingly honoring. I probably should've waited for the four or so copies to hit $1.99, as really, who the hell cares about Downhill Domination, or picked up Ham Ham and tried to PM CC's Downhill price at Best Buy w/ coupon in tow.

On a good note, I did pick up the Uru collection on PC for $1.99 thx to CAG, and found one of those penny Destroy All Monsters soundtracks in a stack by a register. But this sale is severely employee dependent.
 
Picked up a copy of Baten Kaitos today. The top plastic wrap is a little ripped but its still sealed.

I"ll trade it for a Copy of Project Snowblind for the XBOX if anyone is interested. Let me know.

I wouldn't mind some of the sports games to get cheaper because I only have one major sport game (some football game on DC that I've never played - not a big fan of sports games). I need more sports games because my collection is lacking sports games and some of my friends get tired of Halo 1 & 2 for multiplayer (no, thats not the only mp game I play).
