New Desktop PC

I'm looking to get a desktop to replace my laptop.  I'd like to be able to play games on it (Civ V, Cities Skylines), but it also needs to be able to handle basic household functions and Facebook (my mom will also be using this).  

Is the Lenovo X315 a good choice?

I would consider building my own but it would need to be fully functioning with Windows.

Total budget is around $600 including HD monitor (speakers would be nice too).

The AMD A8 is a capable, if a bit underpowered, processor. You should be able to run most games at medium settings.
