New Robocop movie!!!

Funny, yesterday I was actually thinking about what it would be like if they remade Robocop.

All I know is they better leave "I'd buy that for a dollar!" line in there.

I dont know why they would even bother. Theres NO way they can have better special effects then the first few RC movies. The compositing was mindblowing!

Rocky. Rambo. Robocop.

Any other "R" 80's franchises left to bring back? Help me out. Heck, we almost had Revenge of the Nerds before they pulled the plug on it.

Robocop 1 is the best, but Robocop 2 is one of the finest movies of all time.

I was probably like 10 when it came out but at the time I loved that Robocop had a Jetpack in number 3. Come on! A Jetpack! The only way that could make him more awesome was to make him fly.

oh no you didn't mention Robocop 3. :bomb:

Robocop 2 was pretty good, but they should have taken out those scenes were he becomes a pussy because of all those new directives.

As long as it's about big Detroit steel and corporate excess, it'll be fine. The minute they mention some sort of "nanotechnology" though, I'm walkin' out.

Knowing what Detroit looks like in terms of labor today, going back to this theme would make as much sense as keeping SMERSH/Communist Russia as the villain in the remake of "Casino Royale" from last year.

This may rattle the purists, but I think Michael Clarke Duncan should play Robocop.

Fail on an epic scale.

Im waiting for a gremlins remake!!!!!

Can't movie producers come up with some original stuff I mean come on. I do like these movies and all but how many times can the damn shark get killed but his big ass is back again in jaws 47.

Yea right, a big black man getting shot up by a bunch of whities........
Petter Weller needs to be in it.

And how the hell do you make an Outer Limits movie?
Well, it worked with the twilight zone.

I was thinking earlier today they should make another Robocop movie (more the first, less like the others). Here's to hoping it's worthwhile.

They'll probably have Christian Bale do it, he's like this generations Kevin Bacon. I would love to see a new movie with Michael Clarke Duncan in it preferably something like "Steel".

Hm, the most interesting thing I got out of the OP article is that MGM secured the rights to The Hobbit. I was just out of the loop on that.

But back OT, I can't imagine a new Robocop movie being any good. IMO, like many serial Hollywood films, the first was the best and it just went all downhill from there.

I have no idea how they'd do this. It's like trying to make a straight sequel to Blade Runner or the Poltergeist franchise. It has to be a remake.
