I think so too. But I think since Rock Band was the first full instrument game, let GHWT have it's shot.
 
I'm excited to see some good songs in there.

Red Octane left a bad taste in my mouth with their "no third-party peripherals" shenanigans from GH2 (and now Aerosmith!), so I'm less sympathetic to their attempt at competing.

I'm a big fan of the Rock Band DLC, so I know they're good with their song selections (Boston, The Police, The Cars, Rush, NIN, The Who...It's all good). If the rest of the songs are like the ones we've seen so far, I'll buy RB2 day one.

Hell yeah, RB has some good songs. White Wedding would be pretty good.
