New TRU clearance as of 4/14

Finally, I have reason to write again as a whole bunch of games are finally going on clearance! Of course, some of these games are only going down $.01, from a .99 to a .98 price point, but this puts them in the 'clearance' category and therefore eligible for the extra '20% off' currently offered on all clearance.... Also, the percentage taken off clearance will be going up over the next couple of weeks, and though I couldn't get an exact timetable I do know future signs will read "Save up to 80% when you take an extra 50% off". Right now they read "Save up to 70% when you take an extra 20% off", so make of that what you will. In any case, I suggest grabbing the games you want ASAP and holding onto them unopened (if you're a really hardcore CAG, anyway) until the dust settles; TRU will definitely honor their prices should clearance go lower over the next few weeks after you buy them.

For the lazy or math challenged, remember:
19.98 - 20% = $16 ; 14.98 - 20% = $12 . By 4/14, if clearance hits 30%...well, even lower prices of course!

I wish I could read, then I would have noticed that this doesn't start until Monday. Picked up Every Extended Extra when I was there last night, If I waited until Monday It would only come out to being $0.80 cheaper.
 
Picked up the last copy of Jeanne D'arc at the TRU in Whitestone, NY. Gonna get a price adjustment on monday. Thanks OP! Been hearing good things about Jeanne d'arc but never wanted to pay $30 lol.
 
Picked up a copy of Blue Dragon today. Used a $10 off of $50 coupon on that and a few other things. Curious what they'll do for the price match.
 
So what time exactly do the price changes occur on Mondays? Is it some kind of Automatic Update in the computer system the night before? or does someone actually have to go around with a price gun and scan them all??? Thanks so much!!! I got 2 copies of Twilight Princess (Gamecube) for 15 bux yesterday. They were both at the bottom of the bargain bin, under a pile Madden's and NCAA's. WHAT A STEAL!

oops, i forgot to mention, they were 15 EACH. Which is still a heck of a deal for Twilight Princess. I didn't want to start a new thread because I think it's a huge YMMV.

I went to the one near East Brunswick, NJ, and it was poorly organized. Random clearance signs on games, and a ton of copies of Gran Turismo 4. I asked about a deal from the last TRU clearance thread, PS2 Okami for $5, and I saw the box sitting in the shelf, but they were all display copies.

Cruel, cruel fate.

This happened to me too yesterday at the Lewisville, TX store. I saw PS2 Okami, Eternal Sonata, and Overlord all in the case.... but they were ALL display boxes. Why they need 5 display boxes sitting in the case for games they no longer have in stock baffles me. The guy even said that they never even got any copies of Overlord in stock, ever. Weird. I still scored a $9 VGA cable, so I was pleased.
 
I would have scored the last copy of :360:Blue Dragon when the store opened this morning, but an accident on I75 cost me 20 minutes; didn't get there until the store had already been opened for 15 minutes. The last copy was in the hands of someone who got there right before me. :cry:

MGS3: Snake Eater (last copy): $9.98 - 20% = $7.98

Logitech Chillstream PS3 wired controller: $19.98 - 20% = $15.98

dreamGEAR Guitar Hero wireless Controller for PS2: $29.98 - 20% = $23.98

Also, I got an additional 10% for signing up for the ToysRus Credit Card.

Total, was around $57

I figured you were a CAG, but didn't say anything. I've been trying to get that game for less than $20 for months. Couldn't grab it before this morning and price adjust later, because my gf wanted me to head to Orlando with her to visit her parents. :cry:

I would have been there 5 minutes before the doors opened this morning if not for that accident on I75. Oh, well...
 
Westgate TRU in Spartanburg SC was well stocked and marked. I grabbed a Blue Dragon (16)and left several in the case.

NO WAY!!!! That was probably me you saw. LOL!!!!

I saw the jam from a mile away, took the early SR56 exit, made a left, then a right onto SR54, it takes you straight to the store.

BTW, the 360 VGA & Component cables are now reduced to $7.98.

I wish they had more copies of Blue Dragon so we could all enjoy, sorry if that spoiled your day. CHEERS!!!
 
Grabbed Blue Dragon for $15.98 as well. Was going to get Stranglehold for 360 too, but I won't have time for BD for a while and I picked up Baroquoe for the PS2 which is an Atlus RPG instead. I'll get Stranglehold from Goozex eventually.

Also, you can add Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness to their list of we-have-seven-display-boxes-but-none-in-stock games.

In summary: fuck that store. Their stock was crap and the people working there were kind of jerks.

Yeah, I've only headed there for CAG-related things I've seen here 2-3 times and failed each time. At least this time I got the VGA cable on the cheap. I don't technically even need it yet, but for $8 I felt obliged to go ahead and buy one. The one guy that helped me was fairly friendly though. If anybody else is in the area, they had one PSP car charger left for $1.90. (Lewsville, TX store we're talking about)
 
I got excited when the guy said he had one Blue Dragon left in their display case but when he went to get it, it wasn't there... then someone else came and said that he sold it last night. So... m TRU had nothing good left. I hate this town, too many hoarders here.

I'm in Orlando and hit up the location on Colonial near the Fashion Square Mall right at 10AM this morning. They had at least half a dozen copies, as well as copies of a bunch of other titles. I grabbed Blue Dragon for $15.98 (19.98 - 20% off all clearance items).

I'd never been able to grab it at Target, so this is the next best thing.

360 - Shadowrun, Stranglehold (Both in the glass case only, shrink wrapped. I already grabbed Stranglehold from Target for $15 so I left this), Stuntman: Ignition, Several types of official cables.

Lots of sports games for all systems still hanging around, of course.

Looked for Twilight Princess GCN but they didn't have it. The guy was putting the clearance games out and changing prices while I was there. I had to ask him about Blue Dragon since it was not in-section, luckily he had them behind the counter to put them in the plastic cases.
 
Thanks, picked up Stuntman, Moto Gp 07, and Bluedragon. All for 360. They were just pulling them out of the case. Also picked up an explorist 100 gps for work for 47 dollars. This was in Chandler, AZ
 
I just hit up Sunnyvale, CA TRU this morning and got the following:

The guy was changing prices this morning. When I asked to see the tags, he seemed a little irked at me...:roll:

Anyhow, there were about 7 copies of Blue Dragon, 3 copies of Children of Mana, 2 more copies of Elite Beat Agents, 5 or more copies left of Yakuza and about 7 copies of Jean D' Arc for PSP.

No sign of GCN Twilight Princess. Otherwise, that would've made my list too.

BTW Forza 2 and Saint's Row are also on clearance but I don't see them on the OP's list. I was thinking of also getting Saint's Row ($15.98) but with GTAIV on the horizon...:cool:
 
Managed to get the last copy of Blue Dragon at the Reynold's road location. Fellow Toledo CAGs will have to check Alexis Road because I know the Monroe street store is out.

Also, I hope MS gets their act together with these shitty multi-disc packages. All three discs are scratched and scuffed so bad I may as well have bought it used. :bomb:

I went to get a price adjustment on Blue Dragon and Stranglehold. She took $20 off each title and then I said something about the 20% off but she said that ended last week. As I was walking out I knew she didn't know what she was talking about so I went over to the videogames and picked up a game on clearance and asked the woman there to see what the total would be with tax and of course it took 20% off. So I had to get another price adjustment and it takes them forever to do one for some reason.

I asked the lady how much is blue Dragon? She said look at the sign, I said ok, can you still price check it for me, she said she would but it would not matter. So 1st she says $40 on tag, then she scans it and it is $15.98. She said oh u are right, and then remembered it was Monday price drops.
