I heard 50 cent was actually good. I'm waiting for my Amazon copy to arrive to see if the wife can bare through it on co-op.
From what I recall there's no split-screen option, so you'll need 2 games and 2 X360's, w/2 live subscriptions to play together.

Sadly 50 cent has online co-op only. So you'll need two 360's, two copies of the game, and two xbox live gold accounts to play co-op with your wife. :(

Edit - Linkin Prime beat me to the punch. ;)

This strikes me as a good deal. It went OOS on the GoHastings.com sale when I was ready to purchase at this price. Hooray.

Silent Hill: Homecoming :360: $9.99

Ok, if the CAG community doesn't mind revolving around me for a bit, can I get a general consensus on these games? Actually, I'm just sarcastically trying to sound like a scathing douche. I am curious what people think of these games, though.

Silent Hill
50 Cent
Legendary
Golden Axe
Wheelman

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-!

I just ordered Silent Hill: Homecoming from GoHastings used for $9 shipped+taxed. I would have ordered it from here if it could have shown up a day earlier. T_T;

Oh well. Hopefully the SH is in good condition.

Golden Axe is BAD, VERY BAD. I really enjoyed Wheelman though & at that price I wuld says its definitely worth it. 50 Cent is ok for a playthrough thats about it. I havent played the other two, but after reading some reviews earlier today I jumped on Legendary.

I had a feeling that was going to be the verdict on Golden Axe. I didn't read a single good review about it, but then, I didn't read many 'good' reviews for any of these games, either.

I really liked Golden Axe myself.

Okay, maybe not REALLY liked but I respected what it was trying to do. A bunch of guys played Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden and God of War and tried to find a comfortable middle ground between God of War's RAR SMASH and DMC's dodge and counter or you'll get one-shot nonsense.

It works well every now and then, the game is quite solid, lots of dodging, lots of deflecting, lots of countering, the environs are quite nice, it just... it feels like a virgin effort and their color-coded attacks nonsense just never feels like it works. These guys don't have the talent the DMC people did.

For $10? I'd say buy Gaxe and give it a shot. I liked it. I'm not going to stake my reputation on it. I suspect you probably WON'T like it, but for $10 the hatred you'll feel from it will be minimal.

Buy Wheelman though. That game was a blast.

I'm wondering if Homecoming is good though.

EDIT: DMC isn't nonsense. It's my preferred flavor of 3D action button mashan games. That's just the turn of phrase I used.

Dunno if I want to try DMC4 again... aw hell, I may as well stock up at this stupid sale.

For 10 50 cent is a no brainer. The gameplay is great and there is drop in and out co op. I don't replay games often but I played this one twice.

And if you don't get this you will miss out on fantastic dialog such as "bitch stole my skull"
Is Two Worlds really that bad? I've played Oblivion and really like it, is TW even remotely like Oblivion?
I know a lot of people who enjoyed Two Worlds, and I've heard it compared to Baldur's Gate, which I love. However, I thought Two Worlds was rolling garbage, and it really sucked because I wanted to like it so much, and I tried so hard to like it and just couldn't.

Of course..........I didn't really get into Oblivion, either.

:shock::shock::shock:
Is Two Worlds really that bad? I've played Oblivion and really like it, is TW even remotely like Oblivion?
Played the PC version and was bored. Nowhere close to the freedom of Oblivion. More like Diablo/Borderlands-esque.

Hah, Bionic Commando (360) actually dropped by a buck to 8.99. Might pick it up.

EDIT: Okay, picked up Bionic Commando, Silent Hill, and Dragon Quest Swords.

I might have to pick up 50 "BITCH TOOK MY SKULL!" Cent, game looks like fun, but I just can't take this form of rap seriously...

And is Wheelman that bad of the game? I actually enjoyed the demo, and I'm into arcade racers, so the control was pretty decent for me.

Wheelman is great. I loved it.

And I've enjoyed what I've played of 50 Cent but I ragequit at the lack of split-screen co-op and that it ate my savegame when I tried to do that.

If you enjoyed the demo then you'll love the full game!

Silent Hill was bad... I hadn't played any of the previous ones so I can't say how it stacks up... but Homecoming is just boring, it was so dull and bland and nothing scary about it, I just couldn't get into it. As far as survival horror type games, after playing Bioshock and Dead Space and even RE5, Homecoming just can't compare.

50 Cent game was ehh... I didn't really get into it, about half way thru I just wanted it to end and get it over with, seemed to drag-on, kept getting to the skull or feeling like it would end and then it wouldn't. I dunno, it's a decent game but don't get your hopes up for it to be amazingly fun like I thought it'd be from peoples reviews and everything.

Silent Hill -- barely passable. i beat it. if you're a sucker for survival horror, it's worth a playthrough, but you won't love it. if you haven't played much SH, play something else.

50 Cent -- eh. i played the first few levels of it. It's probably a ton of fun co-op. It's not that much fun single player. It's an fps all about combos and scores - think stranglehold or even better, the club. not worth it unless you have someone to co-op with - i've read it's great fun that way.

Legendary - absolutely terrible. i almost quit during the first level, I did quit during the second level. Nothing about this game is remotely good. Did I mention it's awful and has no redeeming features? You'd be better off replaying a game you hated.

90% of the reviews ive seen on legendary say its horrendous but ive been eying it for sub-$10 game for awhile so I bit on it.

Also I think people had high standards for Two Worlds so it doesnt live up to that but Im thinking of giving it another try cause besides being somewhat boring I cant remember why I stopped playing.

The prices probably went up and the OP hasn't updated it yet?
I'll be curious when ordered copies of Metal Slug DS arrive if it's the fancy copy with slipcover and dogtag. I remember seeing them at TRU. That might make me pull the trigger.
My Metal Slug 7 (DS) just arrived, it has the fancy slipcover on it - pretty cool! I don't see any dog tag or indication that one is included - would I see something about it just by looking at the packaging?

I bought Silent Hill a while ago for 10 bucks and honestly don't think it's that bad of a game. The thing that pisses me off; you can invert the aiming but you CAN'T invert the camera. WTF. Kinda takes you out of the gaming experience a bit if you play inverted like me. Seriously, for $10, you could do a lot worse. If all else, I'd say go look up video reviews like on gametrailers.com to get a good feel for how the game would be. I can usually tell if I'd enjoy a game by watching a few minutes of someone actually playing the game.
The prices probably went up and the OP hasn't updated it yet?
i guess its possible but i was looking at the site when the prices were first posted and never saw wheelman for 10 other then in the thread title so i'm wondering if it was just a mistake? or if i actually missed saving a few bills... thinkin bout pickin up wheelman at 12 wondering if i should hold off till it shaves off a few dollars since its just gonna be sittin in a backlog for a bit probably

I bought it back when it was $12.99 on newegg it's an allright game I guess but the controls take awhile to get used to and the tutorial stages are annoying.
I thought about picking up Operation Darkness at 9$ anyone know if it's worth it at that price?
I was also tempted at (or near) that price. Then I played the demo. The camera is by far the worst camera in the history of video games. I don't know how they botched it so bad. Play the demo before you buy.

WARNING:

i brought the lair and motorstorm and they look like reseals.

motorstorm came with the (not for resale label). as far as i know thats the cover that came with the old motorstorm 80gb ps3 bundle.

edit: motorstorm WAS a reseal. it came with two instruction manuals. one with the old esrb "teen" logo and the other with "teen adolesents." wtf? maybe to keep the manual from sliding?

both games had discs that were brand new looking though.
