Nightmare on Elm Street deals

Vampire Hunter D

CAGiversary!
The Nightmare on Elm Street Box Set that came out in 1999 , i got at my Sam's Club today for like $22.72. Normally its double that. I saw it and immediatly had to get it. It's pretty bare bones but hey it's ten years old. If you like the series at all you cant go wrong for 20 bucks. Also just found out WalMart is selling separate single discs with 1-4 on one and 5-VS Jason on another. Ther're like 13 bucks each. So ultimatly whichever way you choose, thats $3 or so for each film, but with latter you get VS. If you hate NOES please dont respond.
By boxset you are refering to the one with the seven films, 3D glasses, and bonus materials disc right?
He must be, as that is the only box I've ever seen. Awesome box. I think I bought it at $29 from Deep Discount DVD about a year ago. Worth every cent and the NOES films hold up way better than the FT13th films.

Wish "The Dream Master" didn't suck so bad though. It's really a mess of ideas.

The boxset is incomplete if it doesn't have this:

Nightmare On My Street:

Now I have a story that Id like to tell
About this guy you all know he had me scared as hell
He comes to me at night after I crawl into bed
He's burnt up like a weenie and his name is fred
He wears the same hat and sweater every single day
And even if it's hot outside he wears it anyway
He's home when I'm awake but he shows up when I sleep
I can't believe that there's a nightmare on my street

It was a saturday evening if I remember it right
And we had just gotten back off tour last night
So the gang and I thought that it would be groovey
If we summoned up the posse and done rushed the movie
I got angie
Jeff got tina
Ready rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life
That was all right because the lady was chill
Then we dipped to the theater set to ill
We saw elm street and man it was def
And everything seemed all right when we left
But when I got home and laid down to sleep
That began the nightmare, but on my street

It was burning in my room like an oven
My bed soaked with sweat
And man I was bugging
I checked the clock and it stopped at 12:30
It had melted it was so darn hot
And I was thirsty
I went downstairs to grab some juice or a coke
Flipped the tv off, and then I almost choked
When I heard this awful voice coming from behind
It said, you got my favorite letter but now you must die
Man, I aint even wait to see who it was
Broke inside my drawers and screamed, so long, cuz
Got halfway up the block
I calmed down and stopped screaming
Then thought, oh, I get it, I must be dreaming
I strolled back home with a grin on my grill
I think that since this is a dream I might as well get ill
I walked in the house, the big bad fresh prince
But freddy killed all that noise real quick
He grabbed me by my neck and said
Heres what well do
We gotta lotta work here, me and you
The souls of your friends you and I will claim
You've got the body and Ive got the brain
I said, yo fred
I think you got me all wrong
I aint partners with nobody with nails that long
Look, Ill be honest man, this team won't work
The girls wont be on you, fred, your face is all burnt
I patted him on the shoulder, said thanks for stopping by
Then I opened up the door and said take care guy
He got mad, drew back his arm, and slashed my shirt
I laughed at first, then thought, hold up, that hurt
It wasnt a dream, man, this guy was for real
I said, freddy, uh, pal, theres been an awful mistake here
No further words and then I darted upstairs
Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed
Pulled the covers up over my head
And said, oh please do something with fred
He jumped on my bed, went through the covers with his claws
Tried to get me, but my alarm went off
And then silence
It was a whole new day
I thought, huh, I wasn't scared of him anyway
Until I noticed those rips in my sheets
And that was proof that there had been a nightmare on my street

Fp: oh man, I gotta call jeff, I gotta call jeff
Come on, come on
Come on jeff, answer
Come on, man
Jj: hello?
Fp: jeff, this is prince, man
Jeff, wake up,
Jeff, wake up
Jj: what do you want?
Fp: jeff, wake up, man,
Listen to me, jeff
Jj: its three oclock in the morning, what do you want?
Fp: jeff, jeff, would you listen to me?
Listen, whatever you do, dont fall asleep
Jj: man
Fp: jeff, listen to me, dont go to sleep, jeff
Jj: look, Ill talk to you tomorrow, Im gong to bed

Ahhhhhh! ahhhhhh! (ha ha ha ha ha haaaa)

Fp: jeff! jeff! jeff! jeff! answer me, jeff!

I'm your d.j. now, princey! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaa!

EDIT: added spoiler tags so it doesn't take up an XL bloody crockpot of space.

bad thing is they tried to make 4 5 and 6 into 1 movie

Dream warriors could of been a lot better and would be wicked to see this remade today

aren't they supposed to be remaking the original? or shall I say reworking it? but i think my favorite were the new nightmare and freddy vs. jason.

-the whole mythos that freddy is the manifestation of the so called boogeyman in the new nightmare and it just loves the freddy krueger way of scaring people is something to think about.

-and for freddy vs. jason i feel that they got freddy's character perfect for this one. very evil and scary looking, great jokes, and though many may say this movie was stupid, it actually did a lot in my opinion to bring those characters to a new generation of people.

By the way did they ever release the nightmare on elm street tv show on dvd yet?

the leatherface vs Jason comic books was interesting. I doubt we will be seeing any remake or extra parts to this anytime soon. I still remember them saying

JASON VS FREDDY WILL BE THE NEW LAUNCH PAD

Expect A NEW JASON AND NIGHTMARE MOVIE WITHIN 6 months after the crossover....... and nothing been done.. I even think robert said he wants nothing to even do with the nightmare series anymore cause its a waste of time waiting for anything to be done

Nope, but because you asked I checked on that turd and found the real gem:

Friday the 13th The series.

Season one is releasing this month 9/23. It only took them 21 years to release it :oldman:

Although it has absolutely nothing to do with the 13th movies, it was one of the most entertaining hours of TV for me growing up. Season 1 is a whopping 19.65 hours on 6 discs.

The freddy TV show was a pile of crap, honestly.

The first episode was kinda cool; it showed Freddy's origin, the trial, his death -- nothing amazing, but it was cool enough for me to at least download to add to my Nightmare collection.
