Nintendo 3DS $169.99 with $50 Gift Card at Target starting 12/8

Nintendo is really making a push to sell these.

Just got mine Monday from BB deal and then used gift card on buy 2 get 1 deal.

Makes you think a redesign is coming or they really want to get a foot hold before Sony's new handheld comes out.

wonder if the red mario bundle counts. My store had a couple. Plus I get my 10% off to stack with this for a total of $152 for a 3DS maybe mario 3D and $60. Hell yeah.
5% red card and 10 gc for 50 means target is the place for me! Now I don't have to go to best buy.

Thanks op!
Yup, clearly a better deal if you use the Red Card. If I didn't buy the Zelda 3DS bundle at Best Buy this week I would be all over this!

Im starting to wonder too... I think you make a good point, sell as many of these before Sony releases their new handheld. I just imagine a redesign so soon, especially with recent sales results on the 3DS.
Buy three $50 GC using the coupon for an additional $30 GC and you'll score this for even less.
The coupon specifically states it won't work for gift cards. It slips by for the Kindle cards and other non-Target cards though so who knows.
Does Target sell the Zelda 3DS bundle?
No. And if they did it probably wouldn't be valid. The ad says it's just for the regular system alone (red, black, blue)
Too bad because this deal on the Pink bundle would make this an even bigger win over Best Buy and TRU

guess your right, but still it wouldn't hurt to see if this can be appiled to the mario bundle. I will try on friday and post my results.

If they have to move effective price point to $120 to get some sales momentum, that's not concern about the Vita, which is going to be selling for more than twice that...that's a sign of desperation, esp since launched it at $250 less than 8 months ago.

No way is Nintendo desperate. Plus, might I add, these numbers are before these "$50" Gift Card offers and the 3DS Bundles came out...
and like i keep saying rumor is Nintendo will show some sort of new handheld at E3 2012 and these gift cards and promos are just adding fuel to that fire
I could see that but I doubt we see a new handheld or redesign on the market until 2013.

I think I like BBY's deal a little better, just because the $50 GC can be used immediatly on the B2G1. Plus, with all the BBY trade-in deals lately, many CAGs interested in a 3ds may be more likely to have BBY credit.

Yeah, keep us informed if this does work for the special 3DS regardless of what the ad says. I've traded all I can at BBY recently toward other stuff, so getting a Target card plus $10GC with that coupon someone mentioned would be even better.

Won't hurt to call. But the 60 days PM is limited to a very all list of items. Mainly large appliances and TVs over $899. The objects that qualify will have it noted on the product page online.

Probably can't use the $10GC for $50 purchase coupon. I do have already have a $10 GC from last week though. Might see about grabbing something else this week.

Gah, had just about decided to pick up the Zelda bundle at BB with the $50 GC, but with $60 of GC, I might just have to get a plain 3DS...

Same here. I finally broke down to get a 3DS even though the redesign is inevitable. Just can't say no to saving. :)
I don't know how much longer I can hold out with all these 3DS deals ... so tempted!
I am guessing the new design will be sold at retail price, so depend on whether if you like free money. I did.

Haha exactly! Pretty much set to get one now. Just a matter of color. Do I loose the extra $10 GC (and pay an extra $30 for Zelda) for the bundle, or do I just get a regular black 3DS?

I was going to get the Zelda 3DS, but changed my mind again recalling I have already played the original on N64 to death (I still have it), so I figure regular version is enough. If you have never played that Zelda, I'd suggest you pick it up at some point. It was revolutionary at its time.

Haha, yeah, I've never played it but have heard amazing things about it. Now a matter of do I get it in the bundle or do I get it as one of my B2G1 free at BB.
Not bragging, but I am happy as hell I got a 3DS for $99 on BF. The games coming out now look phenomenal.
I'm not bragging but listen to this brag yo. ;)

Nice deal. I'm so tempted to buy one now and that Target deal is nice. Basically a free game and another for $10 off. I just KNOW the redesign with the 2 analog sticks is coming by the end of next year though... what to do?
I could be wrong, but I don't recall any stores selling a 3DS for $99 on BF. Where did you pick that up from?
Walmart PM HEB, a local Texas store.

I really doubt it, Nintendo wouldn't do something like that... Hopefully.

Really? I would be stunned if they didn't. Every single handheld they have ever released has gone through multiple revisions with the first one typically coming about 2 years after the initial launch (other than the original Game Boy).

3DS XL or 3DS(WHATEVER) is why I haven't jumped on one of these deals yet. My son has one and I want one but I just can't do it yet. Toys R Us $170 + 40 Mario Kart + 20 star fox (50% off) - $40 GC (free with 3ds purchase) = $190 for 3ds and two of the best 3ds games is a great deal. The best buy deal is better best because its 3ds + 3 games for $200.

Wouldnt that put a revision around march 2013??? Long time to wait on a possible revision.

do you have a sku for it? its no longer listed on the BB site and I was going to call the local ones and try.

March 2013 is right around the corner! Also, I'm guessing it will be next November/December.

GBA: June 11, 2001
GBASP: March 23, 2003

NDS: November 21, 2004
DS Lite: June 11, 2006

DSi: April 5, 2009
DSi XL: March 28, 2010

3DS: March 27, 2011
3DSSuperMegaAwesome: November/December 2012 - WRITE IT DOWN!

What I did at Best Buy was this> tax not figured in

Red 3DS = 170
Aqua 3DS = 120 ($50 GC applied)
Mario World, Mario Kart, Star Fox = 30 ($50 GC applied)
total = $320 (saved 140)

I also get 3X reward zone points for these purchases, which equals 960 points, which is just 40 shy of a $20 RZ certificate.

You can bet your ass those sold out the weekend they came out.

you're saying Target sold out of Zelda bundles already? That's quite a trick.
Not bragging, but I am happy as hell I got a 3DS for $99 on BF. The games coming out now look phenomenal.
Mario 3D Land is excellent!

Man, I'm torn ... I decided to forgo this week's BB deal because I could use the Target coupon and get a 3DS for less ... BUT I found out tonight that my local GameStop has a Ton (like 40) of the LoZ 3DS bundles and with the drop to $179 ... I'm almost willing to spend more on that bundle. Plus I feel like resale value if they do come out with a revised edition will be significantly higher for the Zelda version.
This deal almost made me forget that I set my personal arbitrary buying point to when they release a version with improved battery life.
Yeah, I have the same reservation, but if the system gets any cheaper, I may just buy it and get that Nyko Powerpak to extend the battery life.

Solid deal, but ultimately, I know I would be kicking myself it I had bit on this, only for the 3DS Lite (or whatever it is going to be called) to be released 6-12 months later.

I can wait.

Besides, other than Mario 3D Land, and Ocarina 3D, I do not have much interest in the system at the moment.
Makes you think a redesign is coming or they really want to get a foot hold before Sony's new handheld comes out.
If that were the case, it would be a foolish move. Really foolish. As others have said, the real competition is with smartphones/tablets.
