I picked up a USB charge cable online last year for my SP. They're available in a retractable form from Pelican Accessories, too. A local store here in Washington state called Fred Meyer carries them for $5.99. It comes with the retractable USB charge cable and a car adapter for the cable. Places like Best Buy carry the same pack for $9.99.

If your on the go, you can just toss this cable in with your laptop acc., and when charging your laptop, you can charge your DS too.
