That depends on what kind of games you like. None of those three stand out as "amazing games," but if you like online mulitplayer, 3rd person shooter games, go with Splatoon. If you like to hack and slash stuff, go Hyrule Warriors, if you like cartoon-y boxing games for with Arms...

I played it on the Vita and had a great time with it. Gameplay is good, fun colorful graphics, cheesy but entertaining dialogue...If it drops below $10 I'll buy it again to play on the Switch, definitely worth the $15 if you haven't played it yet and enjoy that style game.

I was leaning more towards Hyrule Warriors since I like those type of games. But I've also heard that Splatoon is fun. I didn't have a Wii U so I never played the first one.

If you are into online matches then Splatoon is the way to go, if not, there is not a whole lot to do on the single player end. If you like JRPGs, I would highly recommend Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is well worth full price.

Do digital games always qualify for coins? Because my hard copy of Mario Odyssey, purchased with my Switch about a week ago, informed me that it was too late to redeem the coins when I popped the cart in to play the same day.

If you have Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey... you mentioned liking the Warriors type games and Hyrule Warriors is pretty deep with the content. Splatoon 2, I passed on just because I'm not into competitive online repetition. Arms is great fun, but it's better if you can team up with another person in the same room to play online with others. Then, it shines pretty bright.

My top picks though for a new person to the switch would be XC2, Breath of the Wild, and Mario Odyssey... in that order. All are the pinnacle of their genre regardless of platform. XC2 on the surface may seem a bit complex but they do a good job of building up what you need to pay attention to so it's no overwhelming.

From what I understand, digital games always get you coins, if physical games have been out for more than a year, they are no longer eligible for coins, so I think that is because the game has been out for a while. I know this isn't a very exact or scientific answer but its been told to me and seems consistent with what I've experienced.

I'm fininishing up Super Mario Odyssey and I'm loving every second of it. Right now I only have that, Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu(which I finished), Mario Kart, Kirby Star Allies, Smash Bros, and Mario + Rabbids( which I can't get into).

I want to get Breath of the Wild eventually. But from the videos I've seen Xenoblade doesn't really seem like my type. I think I'll grab Hyrule Warriors from this sale and wait for another sale to grab Splatoon 2.

You don’t need to have played Splatoon 1 to understand Splatoon 2. While it has a single player experience, it’s mostly all online multiplayer, so you’d need to be prepared to pay for the Nintendo Online Service. If you like hack & slash games, I definitely would recommend Hyrule Warriors, since that’s also a full single player experience that doesn’t require paying for the online service.

Anyone know of any deals on eshop, best buy, or gamestop gift cards? Octopath is real tempting, but $30 is closer to my price than $42 is...

 
Considering some combination of Lightening Force, The Gardens Between and Just Shapes and Beats for Switch. On the 3DS front Bye Bye Boxboy seems like a no brainer.

 
Awesome, was waiting for Bye-Bye Boxboy to go on sale. Might pick up a couple Atlus games too, but looks like may need a bigger micro SD card soon.
 
Does Nintendo give credit on digital purchases that go on sale after your purchase? My kid was all over me for 2 months about Just Shapes and Beats. I told him like I always do...when it does on sale. I caved New Year's Day and now it is $5 cheaper. I know I have been successful getting a credit with Microsoft. Not sure about Nintendo
 
Nice sales, I'm willing to pay a $5 tax after sale for Mario + Rabbids Gold (Have the base physical version) I'm completely blown away by how awesome that game is, shame it didn't sell more as Ubi did an amazing job. Never would of thought Mario Xcom could work. 

I tend to prefer physical for resale after being done, though at these prices it's super tempting for the convenience. Just bought Xenoblade 2 but I'm assuming Octopath may not be at that price again for a long while.

So If I bought Octopath physical, and got the coins... If I buy the digital now I don't get any more coins right?

I like the whole gold coin thing with Nintendo, but honestly have not read all the fine print/quirks. Didn't even know that you get full coins for redeeming a digital copy (at the same price as the eShop's sale price) instead of the discounted coin amount from the eShop.

 
You should get coins. I'm pretty sure after I bought, beat, and sold Mario and Zelda I got coins again when I later bought the digital versions when they went on sale.

I got Breath of the Wild at launch with the gold coins that offered and when I upgraded to the digital version during the E3 sale, I also got gold coins for that purchase.

Use the chat and just keep asking politely. You’ll get a Spider-Man everyone gets one type deal. I just had them return arcade classic punch out because it was not what I expected and they gave me a we don’t usually but here ya go.
 
Is anyone else downloading Stella Glow experiencing slow speeds? I've downloaded several games this size in the past and never had slow speeds. Not sure what's going on. I even tried shutting down and restarting.

Are you downloading in sleep mode or watching it download with the system open? I find that sleep mode seems to download faster.
 
Is the Valkyria Chronicles 25% off deal still in effect if you own Valkyria Chronicles 4 digitally? Because it would be nice if it stacks with the sale.

watching it, although I did try sleep mode earlier and I don't think it was making any progress, but I might have done something wrong. Do you have to do something before entering sleep mode?

Already swapped Mario Kart 8 for Digital, waiting on Mario + Rabbids. Tempted with Octopath.. but will not be selling my physical.

I just close out the Eshop and look for the little wrapped present icon, and when it’s highlighted it says to close the 3DS to begin download.
Do you have room on your SD card? I know installs can get weird if the card is close to being full. I’m trying not to buy Stella glow, but I enjoyed the demo and I think this is the lowest price it’s been. Must resist, too many games, too many adult responsibilities.

Apparently I did it correctly then. Yeah, I still have enough space. It did actually finally complete (I chose download now), but I'm now downloading a 20,000 block game in sleep mode (I'll have over 50,000 blocks remaining). We'll see if that goes any faster. I've probably had it in sleep mode for 15 minutes and it's at 4%.
