Links Awakening is great. Are there frame rate issues? Yes. But they aren't game breaking or anything. They occur in certain areas of the over world and it quickly gets back to 60 fps. I bet they patch it eventually. I don't recall it happening in a dungeon ever and really didn't affect the game too much for me.

This is probably one of the best remakes I've played. Stays faithful to the original, keeps all the charm. Really good puzzles, boss fights are fun. If you enjoy Zelda games this is top notch, don't let the frame rate keep you from playing this truly great game.

Speaking of which, I just beat it!

The original Link's Awakening is my favorite Zelda and one of my favorite games of all time. It is one of the most unique, inventive, and charming games Nintendo has ever made, and it plays like an 8-bit LttP with more creativity. I beat it countless times when I was young I still replay it every 2-3 years and love it every time.

The only reason I'm not jumping on the remake at $60 is that the dungeon layouts and puzzles are apparently more or less identical, it's mostly a visual and QOL upgrade. Which is fine, the game is perfect, but knowing how and where to do everything means I'll fly through it and it won't be a new experience, just a new coat of paint. Also, while the new art style is unique an very pretty, I don't love it personally.

Mostly I'm just excited that a whole new generation of folks who may not give the original a chance because of its age will get to try it.

Keep an eye out for Switch Lite non-compatible (or rather not out of the box) games for the switch lite, Snipperclips is a great example as you would need a pair of Joycons to actually play it, its a great game but you need to spend the extra on the joycons. Couple more that come to mind are Mario Party and 1-2 Switch.

That’s not true at all. Nintendo put out an update forever ago allowing you to play snipperclips with pro controllers. You can even play it in handheld. Mario Party and 1 2 Switch still require joycons, but I think most people will live without having those 2 games in handheld.

Even though the Nintendo Seal of Approval is a "myth" in what it was doing I'm kind of amazed with Nintendo's race to the bottom on what they will sell and how they will sell it.

Yeah, I’m shocked Nintendo allowed this to develop into a trend.

It’s also pretty screwed up that if you’re anything less than a top-tier indie dev/publisher, you’re kinda forced to seriously consider trying this out for visibility. At least most people who’ve spoken for articles recently seem to be getting good results out of it...

For better and for worse (this is CAG), there have been some games with modest budgets that have done this to indicate how cutthroat the e-shop has become.

 
If you look on either the Xbox or PSN store there is an almost equal amount of thousands of shovelware titles. The difference being they very rarely blow stuff out at less than a dollar on those consoles.

The Switch eShop has an easily manipulated list of Best Sellers on their storefront where games that get cheap enough can easily get near the top with the right price that is effectively free advertising, which I don't believe the other two have. It's a race to the bottom method of advertising for games that would never get the time of day either way since the eShop itself isn't set-up to make it easy to find games outside of the New Releases, Featured, or Best Sellers lists.

Unless I am already familiar with the game, I always do. I also always check the download size, and check YouTube videos. While there's definitely some hidden Indy gems to be had for some of these sub-$1 fire sales (Xeodrifter for example), there's also a lot of shovelware that goes on sale too, and to me, doesn't matter if a game is only a penny for that matter. I don't want a shovelware title I'll never play wasting space on my Switch.

Go into the eShop on your Switch, Click on your little picture on the top right and you will see it on the left. Click on where it says wish list and you will see it.

I'll grab Mark of the Ninja and maybe World of Final Fantasy. Steamworld Quest and Slay the Spire are tempting but that's still too much for me on both, especially when Slay the Spire is on GamePass. I'd much rather play it on Switch but no cost is no cost

Im new to Nintendo eshop but I was wondering is their anyway to share games on two switch system but buying one game like on ps4. Plus does the store update on Tuesday like playstation or on different days? Can I buy games with PayPal? Ty for anyone who gives me the time n day to answer.

The eShop typically updates on Thursdays

Yes you can use PayPal

You are allowed to have purchased digital games on two consoles. One is primary and the other is secondary. The secondary account must be online to run the games, while the primary account can play offline.

The eShop updates on Thursday for the big update, but gets new stuff almost every day. Check out the OP for more info there.
