Go to eshop-prices.com and select USD. (But keep the AR site also.)
Mexico is also one that is cheaper sometimes. But the AR site isn’t on the switch natively so you get a code so you can do this on a 2nd account.
 
I spoke to my EU retailer, and they told me I should consider making an EU account if I want DLC for the PAL cartridges as the DLC may not work with the NTSC “sku” (that is supposed to correlate to the cartridge software)...is that the case? Like if you get a PAL/EU or even Japanese cartridge lets say, you can’t use the US eshop DLC?

Separate ESHOPs = separate DLC. I believe you can still get updates regardless, but the DLC is regional. I know I had to have a separate eshop for the DLC code for Omega Labyrinth Life.

no, the updates are slower and just a few games, but now the prices for new releases are now on par with us pricing

I bought Anodyne a month or two ago. It's a decent mix of Gameboy-style Zelda gameplay and absurd writing. There is some strange slowdown at various points that doesn't seem deliberate, but it's not that overbearing. Definitely worth the 99 cent sale price.

the witcher 3 best option until breath of the wild sequel arrives, cd project red showed great love from the development team to adapt this game to such hardware., overwatch is cash grab from blizzard like always with pixar characters shooting each other, if you like cute characters shooting each other play fornite on switch is great and free.

Since everyone is throwing in their opinion about the Argentina eshop sales, here is mine. I think posts pertaining to that are more on topic, than a lot of other endless discussions that go on here. After all, this is a thread about eshop deals per the title. There is a thread for video game discussions for nintendo products already on this site. I also think with any lengthy discussion on here, you are going to have some people that are engaged and like the topic, while others won't. For me personally, I much prefer deals discussions than almost anything else that is discussed on here.

I’m not taking sides, I’m just making a request. Heck if someone want to post an AR deal that seems reasonable, but if they can’t figure out how to work it then move it to the new thread that was created for it.

Personally I don’t backlog so I never entertain the idea of changing regions for a deal. I have enough to play!
 
Keeping people around with conversation is what makes this a useful community.  Yes we may ramble about budgeting to help someone struggling, but then that ended after a couple days and it was forgotten.  The AR stuff took over for about a week but was on topic and now that's trickled down to nothing until these last two posts.  People sticking around were able to answer the questions pretty quickly.   What we don't need are people telling people what to post or not to post outside of Frisky, who will direct us if things are going to much off topic or getting personal/negative and need to end.

What I'd like to encourage others to do is, if you aren't asking a question that you are legitimately looking for help with... maybe consider if your post is helping anyone or not.   I hope my posts help someone or in the off chance help me out in some way.  Most people here are pretty chill to shoot the breeze about a game that is on sale to see if it's worth buying or to discuss what games are exciting them.  Heck Frisky posts his videos playing some games which sometimes is tied to games on sale and sometimes is just something people are curious about.  Same for game announcements that aren't deals getting posted.

Everything past page 1 is what binds us as a community.   If you are helpful and interested in the platforms being discussed, then you add to the community.   If you have to post to justify why you can't buy a switch that helps no one.   Try to be positive and the experience will be a positive one.  If you don't like something others are enjoying the discussion of, then don't participate and the subject will die off that much quicker.

So, just so everyone knows, someone dun goofed as I bought the Trine collection physically and not only does it come with only Trine 4 on the cartridge but the code inside is for ALL FOUR GAMES.  Wonder what the trade in value is on trine 4.

You can play the downloads without the cart, right? I remember seeing mentioned that the US Final Fantasy X collection needed the cart inserted to launch the FFX-2 download.

Correct. You do not need the cart, the code unlocks the ultimate collection and shows on your account as having bought all 4 games digitally. Downloads right to your switch without an issue.

As of today, the Trine: Ultimate Collection will get you $20 credit, $16 cash, at GameStop (base value, I haven’t looked for potential deals to increase that TIV).

Yeah I was thinking about trading it in as it would mean the collection cost me about $10 due to bb gcu and the gift card they offered.
 
I’m surprised there isnt much on OVERWATCH. is there any videos or links to reviews youve found for the port because its almost all speculation??

If you don't like something others are enjoying the discussion of, then don't participate and the subject will die off that much quicker.

I remember seeing doom for about $30 in the e shop a few months ago. Has anyone played it on the switch? I'm debating on getting this one and preordering the other one.

I haven’t played it yet (hoping for it to drop around $20) but the word of mouth I’ve heard says it’s a fantastic port: runs well and looks pretty good, especially when handheld. If you’ve played or seen Wolfenstein 2 running on Switch, that’s a conversion from the same folks.

If I find it for $30 I'll grab it. I got Skyrim for $10 on offer up. Looks really good. Personally I don't like the motion controls but you can turn then off.

Yeah I play it regularly. It's a good port considering the Switch hardware. It runs at a solid 30fps. There are still people playing the multiplayer, though I suspect that will take a dive when the new game is released.

I have a top tier PC that can run the game at close to 200 fps on high settings. Obviously that's a VERY nice way to play, but I have put more hours into the Switch release because I'm a parent and most of the gaming time I get is in bed at night.
